Scoot Delays/Cancellations

TZ26 is again late on Friday 17 June with MEL arrival of its aircraft B788 9V-OFE suggested as 1132, 52 minutes late. Tz25, the 1225 returning MEL - SIN should depart at about 1240, 15 minutes late, a minor delay compared with yesterday.

TZ26, the 0120 hours SIN - MEL on Thursday 23 June did not take off from Changi until 0344 and hence should arrive at about 1220, 100 minutes behind time: B788 9V-OFC is the conveyance. The returning TZ25 can be expected to push back at about 1330 instead of 1220 today.

TZ2 on Monday 27 June 2017 was timetabled to push back at 0145 hours but took off at 0729 this morning - a most uncomfortable time of the night to have to wait five hours to board - and so will arrive SYD at about 1640, five hours and 25 minutes late. TZ1 back from SYD to SIN is showing as departing at 1735 according to Sydney Airport's website: this may be a little optimistic. Aircraft is B789 9V-OJE.

The 0145 hours SIN - SYD on Sunday 3 July, TZ2, took off at 0222 and is arriving in SYD at roughly 1148, 33 minutes late. 9V-OJF (B789) is the aircraft that is 33 minutes late.

On Saturday 16 July, TZ26, the 1040 hours arrival in MEL ex SIN should instead arrive at about 1315, delaying the returning TZ25, the 1220 hours scheduled departure, by about two hours.

Whats the reason for the delay?

I don't know whether it was mechanical problems, but aircraft B788 9V-OFE was timetabled to push back - depart from the SIN terminal - at 0120 hours on Saturday 16 July but instead took off at 0418, which is about two hours and 40 minutes late. Arrival should now be at roughly 1330 in MEL as the plane is passing over ADL at 1228. If you are booked on the returning flight to SIN, TZ25, you should - touch wood - be observing the plane pushing back at around about 1440 this afternoon, allowing 65-70 minutes in MEL for the plane to change crews, passengers to alight and board, luggage to be offloaded and loaded, the aircraft fuelled and catering unloaded and loaded.

Monday 1 August's TZ25 (1220 MEL up to SIN) was airborne at 1346 so is expected to arrive 85 minutes tardy at 1940. 9V-OFD is the B788.

Saturday 6 August's TZ5 (0905 hours OOL - SIN) was badly late, taking off at 1208 for a projected 1747 hours, 152 minute late arrival. Aircraft is 9V-OJD, the usual B789.

TZ1 (1230 early afternoon SYD - SIN) is badly late on Friday 19 August with it having taken off at 1614 and arrival suggested at 2245 late this evening SIN time, 225 minutes late. Aircraft is 9V-OFE.

The Thursday 13 October TZ6 is the 2225 hours overnight from SIN to OOL. It did not take off until 0120 on Friday 14. Hence it should arrive at 1027, 157 minutes tardy with aircraft B789 9V-OJE.

As the returning TZ7 is a scheduled 0905 hours departure, it may well be two and a half hours late should it be off blocks at 1135.

Saturday 22 October 2016 sees TZ2, the 0145 hours from SIN to SYD not having taken off until 0603, meaning a long time in the butterfly garden or stretched out if one could snag a recliner seat at Changi. Tired passengers should be at the SYD gate at around 1550, 215 minutes late this afternoon. Aircraft is B789 9V-OJA.

TZ1, the 1330 hours from SYD up to SIN will presumably depart at around 1700 provided no further problems occur.

TZ26 into MEL on Friday 28 October is only entering Oz (over Port Hedland) at about 0840, so its scheduled arrival ex SIN will be delayed from 1140 to about 1230. The B788 is 9V-OFC.

Saturday 5 November sees TZ2, the 0145 hours SIN - SYD that was airborne at 0253 likely to arrive 32 late at 1302 this afternoon. Aircraft is B789 9V-OJF.

TZ1, the returning flight, was then delayed by strong winds in SYD that saw most flights having to use runway 25 for westerly departures, meaning delays. TZ1 took off at 1508 and should arrive at 2006 hours this evening, 76 minutes late.

Friday 25 November has TZ26, the 0040 hours SIN - MEL not having taken off until 0512 this morning - an uncomfortable wait for passengers who might prefer to be asleep at 0300 - with arrival of B788 9V-OFA likely at about 1504 instead of 1115.

For the second consecutive day on Saturday 26 November, TZ25, the 1215 from MEL to SIN is delayed by about five hours with a projected departure time at around 1745.

Scoot has been having quite some late running into Australia in the last two or three days. Sunday 27 November 2016 is no exception with TZ2, the 0145 hours SIN - SYD not having taken off until 0608 this morning - an unpleasant time to have to wait around for even in a terminal as good as Changi - with arrival suggested as 1603 instead of 1230, 213 minutes tardy. 9V-OJC is the B789.

UPDATE: tz1 returning from SYD to SIN was airborne at 1746 so arrival is predicted as 2231, 221 minutes behind time. Notably if this holds true it will not have picked up any time on its travels today.

Thursday 8 December sees TZ2, the 0145 hours SIN - SYD operated by B789 9V-OJC having taken off at the unattractive hour of 0301. Arrival should be at roughly 1310, 40 minutes behind time.
