Scoot Delays/Cancellations

TR8, Thursday 15 June's 1200 'high noon' SIN-PER wasn't airborne until 1423 this arvo. B789 9V-OJI should arrive at 1851 hours tonight, 111 minutes late.

Tuesday 12 of September sees TR25 MEL-SIN (B789 9V-OJC) with a revised departure at 2 45, 325 min tardy. The incoming leg is due to arrive at 1 45.

Looking for some advice on an upcoming flight with Scoot; (aptly named?) TR 13 overnight flight SYD to SIN, seems to only fly on a Thursday. I'm concerned because they seem to have only sold 50 seats on a Dreamliner one month out from the flight. Tried to check flight history on the usual sites... most recent stats were for October 23 :(. Googled TR13 cancellations and some person had posted that the flight seems to be regularly cancelled.
Not sure how best to deal with this scenario ahead of time?!
Advice appreciated!

Looks like it's a new/seasonal flight that is resuming from 1 April, which is why you can't see any recent history. It'll be running four times weekly. How do you know there's only ~50 pax? If you are looking at the seatmap remember a lot of passengers on LCCs like Scoot won't pay for seat selection (and won't be allocated a seat until check-in), so it will look empty.

Probably nothing you can do ahead of time, because there (as yet) isn't any scenario to deal with. Until they change it then they're not going to facilitate any changes (without a fee).

If it helps, I have flown quite a few Scoot flights on both the A320 and the B787 where there's only been a handful of people (much less than 50) onboard.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I was overreacting I think. It was the lack of history plus the poster who said the flight was often cancelled. You're correct it's a new schedule and the first few flights in April only have a small number of seats left so I think I'll be fine. False alarm!

We were just doing our final pack for our Scoot flight scheduled to leave PER at 18:00 this afternoon when I had a quick look at my emails. There was one from Scoot saying that due to "operational reasons" our flight would now be "provisionally" leaving at 21:00 so at least a 3 hour delay. And this is why if I use Scoot I always allow at least a 24 hour gap between any onwards flights. We fly out to Taiwan on Sunday afternoon. When I booked our hotel in Singapore I made a note of our arrival time but warned that there may be delays. As an excessive precaution I have also updated the arrival date on the Singapore Electronic Arrival Card.

Scoot run to 60 min turnaround on its 787 fleet, no idea why, as they are always late. 1hr 15mins seems to be the sweet spot for a high density 787 turn.

Yes, I noticed the 60 minute turn-around and thought it a bit odd.

You are departing nearly as the same time as the other Scoot 787. Might be delayed further as generally the same ground crew run both of these flights one after other, let alone two at once.

I don't really anticipate a departure at the newly listed time.

Well we are checked in and the ETD is still 2100. At check-in we were each given a card with $30 on it to spend at the Airport on food and drink to compensate for the delay. Better than some airlines.

Two 600ml bottles of Pepsi,
a muffin and a cinnamon snail was $28.

Considering I got diddly squat on recent Virgin and Qantas flights for similar timeframes ( the attitude was just be grateful we are getting you there- lovely right) I guess for a low cost carrier, $30 actually pretty good!
