Dinner last night at the resort Bar and Grill.

No starters or alcohol and it came to $110GBP with service charge but it was really good. Really enjoyed the evening.

Told the very friendly waitress as the meal cost $200AUD, I was keeping the pen. And I did. (also tipped her separately).

Honestly. Don't buy a jag. I thought it would be bigger. Not a lot of boot room and I keep hitting my head every time I fall into it. Fall, because its low to the ground.

And its the little things. Not enough usb ports and no mirror on the sun visor thing. But once sitting in it, it's very comfortable.

I didn't read my own car manual as much as I've read the jags.

And it has heated steering wheel, which hubby LOVES. Hes having a great time.
Oh I’d never buy one but love driving them around Scotland. You want a “bigger” car?? Heavens, you don’t want anything bigger for English Scottish roads, parking in car parks, etc.

One rarely two USB ports in a car is normal. We always travel with one of these or similar. https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/tp-link-33w-3-port-usb-car-charger-with-autodetect-smart-charging-tl-cp230-tp-link

Pop into a phone shop, supermarket, Boots and buy one.

Or one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jaguar-Charger-Car-Charging-Socket/dp/B071D4JQ2P

We had a Merc when we drove around chilly Scotland - it had heated seats, I nearly burnt my bum I had it set so high :p

Yes. He been using the heated seat as well. Each seat has its own computer so I told him to leave mine alone.

The jag has 2 ports and we also have this adapter thing because we each have 2 phones. My XV has 4 usb ports.

The valet guys seem to like the car.

Your starting to sound very Italian - one phone for me and one to call my mother.

“One gets respect driving a Jag in the UK” I have seen in an ad.:)

Btw: did you check if you have a spare tyre and it’s inflated correctly?

More like, know which phone not to answer when mum calls.

And St Andrews cathedral, which I really enjoyed. Im not usually a grave chaser but some were very touching/interesting. In less windy weather, I would have spent more time here.

Love it! If I was doing TRs when I was researching my Scots family history, you could have come along for a whole week of cemetery visiting. St Cuthbert's in Edinburgh is very atmospheric - right under the Castle.

Current view, Arbroath Abbey. William The Lion, King of Scots grave.

We were wandering behind the Abbey, looking lost, and a local came over to help us and was very proud of the place. Very nice of him.

Dunnottar Castle just about the killed me. Hubby did it twice.

Tonight we are staying at a nearby B&B, which is a working farm and there are cows next door. Thankfully, thanks to the UK knowing how to seal/insulate their homes, can't hear or smell them.

Really nice large private room, pretty new. Eggs and bacon from their farm, home made bread for breakfast. (looking forward to breakfast!).

Last night was a $200 dinner with lobster. Tonight it's emergency 2min noodles and fruit.

Dunnottar Castle.

BTW, wonderful food truck at the car park... Saved me from having a toddler tantrum when I finally made it back.

Oh. When leaving St Andrews, I was sitting in the alcove waiting for the car/getting jacket and hubby was outside.

A kid about 8 said, Dad, there's a Jaguar a went outside.

By time I got outside, the kid was sitting in the driver's seat and hubby showing him how to start it and then hubby, the dad and kid went for a drive.

So there were 3 little boys in the Jag ;););)

So Russell Crowes auction was last night - here is one guitar price

Elvis Presley black acoustic guitar (estimate $7,000 - $8,000) sold at $7,000

Some things went way over the estimate price and some things didn't !
"The highly anticipated auction saw the Hollywood star net $3.7million "

Same price as his used jockstrap! That might put MrDenali off his guitar love. Rusty isn’t travelling well for a 54 year old!

Are you going to go up the A96 or A90, or cross-country? And if you go along the Don River, I'm going to get all weepy ...

Day 1 and I fail as a road tripper.

The artistry in the script and design is very interesting.

It's an interesting place, we spent a couple of nights there, before heading down along the coast route to Edinburgh. We spent a lot of time in and around the places in town. The standing joke though, was the number of coffee shops who stated their venue was where William and Kate first met, and the pubs with Haggis Nachos.
Very jealous of you with the Jag. Avis gave us a Fiat 500x in Glasgow (had ordered a i30), and it was like driving a tractor - actually worse. Be thankful for the Jag.

Brilliant! Wonder if he showed off the heated steering wheel?

I see you’re starting to understand the difference between the Jag and a Fiat in the UK.:)

Not exactly sure what we're taking anymore, changing things and different places now but eventually get there.

Yesterday, at some point, was like the Blair Witch trail that got a bit creepy so eventually turned off the car navigation and went to google maps.

.....

Thank you for the best laugh, from the start of this, I always wanted a fiat 500 but if you ever saw the size of us and our luggage, you would be laughing as much as we are at your post.

Even now, we see fiats everywhere, it's like Top Gear with the VW stalking them, but a fiat.
