Not exactly sure what we're taking anymore, changing things and different places now but eventually get there.

Yesterday, at some point, was like the Blair Witch trail that got a bit creepy so eventually turned off the car navigation and went to google maps.

Thank you for the best laugh, from the start of this, I always wanted a fiat 500 but if you ever saw the size of us and our luggage, you would be laughing as much as we are at your post.

Even now, we see fiats everywhere, it's like Top Gear with the VW stalking them, but a fiat.

The only way with a Fiat would have been to get one each.:p

Last night we stayed at a B&B near Dunnottar Castle,
chapel-of-barras

So glad we were nearby as we were very tired and didn't go out for dinner so cup 2min noodles and fruit, that I bought at Tesco, and bed by 6.30pm.

This morning was full continental breakfast and hot, we went with hot. They cure their own bacon and it was really good. Home made bread was awesome.

There are cow sheds literally next door but don't notice till you go outside and can't hear them.

And despite the weather, it's spring. Daffodils everywhere.

Sure is Spring, everything in our garden has sprung up in the last week and even had 17 degrees the other day ;)

Blue skies so back to Dunnottar Castle to be tortured by the hike in and out. Has a pathway and is safe but I really should have kept the up the daily walks in preparation!

Now at Aberdeen where hubby wanted to catch up with a former friend work mate so enjoying a Angus beef hamburger.

It's a relax day today, we could have pushed forward to Dufftown but instead staying in Aberdeen for the night.

Edit. And I'm sure not a coffee drinker but watching the ? make a "latte" at our Cafe is making me want to push him out of the way and do it properly. Its horrendous.

Omg, oat cakes. Do we have these at Coles? So good. And this cheese was equally so good.

So I guess Scotland is closed today.... The 3 castles we tried to visit and a Chivas distillery was closed. Stopped at a few bridges/creeks and Huntley was a very pretty town.

But.. It did lead us to this bakery and wonderful pies and sausage rolls (chicken and leek was exceptional).

Today's B&B room in Dufftown is wonderful! Greeted with brewed tea, cake and ginger shortbread. Poor B&B lady must go through intro talk a couple of times per day.

Our room, I requested the beds be separated but you can have them joined.

View from the wing chairs. Hubby said, You can look at that view all day.

Thats one of the places the B&B owner suggested. Maybe tomorrow.

Today is breakfast, a look around town and then try to access a castle by walking from the rear as road closed at the moment. Followed by 4hr immersion tour at Glenfiditch (sp?).

Hubby will then be poured into the car and put to bed for a nap.

He was asleep at 6pm last night, all the walking and fresh air makes for early bedtimes.

We got our UK cash in Feb... Pity Travelex gave us these notes that as at 1st March ceased being legal tender and I can't exchange at a bank as I don't have an account with them.

And love how the shutters are recessed into the bay window when not in use. Very pretty.

Hope you want to wallpaper your bathroom!
As suggestion would be to collect them all from all AFFers and give them to JT or someone going to London where they can be exchanged at the Bank of England over the counter.

"Threadneedle Street, London, EC2R 8AH.

The counter is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. However, it is closed on weekends. The Bank of England can either replace the old £10 notes with the new polymer ones or transfer money to your bank account."

Or the bank of Flashback, when JT was here recently I took control of all old £10 notes and provided some crisp new currency in replacement

We're not going to London so might have to ask a favour because FAQ say they won't replace to overseas addresses, ie Australia.
