How or when can you get access to Jetstar's International 787 row 1, G and J. They are always blocked.

Solution
I believe 1GJ is blocked for bassinet use and 3G/3J is blocked for flight crew rest which is required on about 70% of their flights so it is available for airport check in only.

I've also always found 1GJ and 3GJ blocked out. 3GJ is definitely blocked out for crew rest seats. It makes sense that 1GJ is blocked for bassinet needs.

Long time between comments here but once again I'm facing the same (first world) issue as last time. I'm hoping there might have been a development since July '22. In April we're flying HKT to SYD in business. The seats 1AC were already booked so I choose 1DE. Once again 1GJ, the bassinet seats, are blocked out (I know that 3GJ are supposedly for crew rest). As a test I did a dummy booking with a infant included to see if this would open up the seats, alas to no avail. As a further test I checked for November and again I wasn't able to book the so-called bassinet seats. Why have them then? Has anybody ever been able to book 1GJ? If so, please let me know how you did it.

You can only request the bassinet seats (1GJ) if you call them up per their website. Otherwise those seats are only available at airport checkin.
