Shop & Earn

I received this update from Velocity on Shop & Earn:

"ShopAndEarn uses 2 main affiliate networks to deliver the suite of Retailers. The issue has been sorted with one network and the points will have now come through to members accounts for related retailer spend.

We are have had a meeting with the supplier today to work out how we can rectify the second network ASAP.
The points that have been pending for Dec & Jan transactions from the second affiliate network have now been approved and will flow through to members accounts with the next 24 hours (automated process).

The process issues this uncovered have now been addressed and we should not be experiencing these same issues again.

As points are approved to members the systems automatically generates a confirmation email and so every member with current pending points will receive a communication within the next 24 hours confirming their points will be flowing through."

I believe comms will be going out directly to members too.

cheers

My transaction was with DVDorchard.

The two networks used are CommissionMonster and ClixGalore for anyone wondering.

I use ClixGalore for my online store (Digital Salad - http://www.digitalsalad.com.au) and they seem to be quite efficient in all my dealings with them. All my transactions are approved for shop and earn daily. Not sure how long it takes clixgslore to pass to velocity however.

I've had my issues resolved (thanks RickyRiccardo), and tried another transaction 2 days ago and it has shown up as pending today. Things seem to be on the improve!

The 'outstanding' one of mine (it was still <60 days, so wasn't going to chase it up yet) got credited today:

1. 01. Date: XX December 2008 Time: XX:XX Merchant: X
Points: xx_ Status: Approved

I'm happy!

Still waiting for eBay points from the first week.

No 'pending', no other information, nothing.

I also use Clixgalore for my online store, The Facial Company (www.facialcompany.com.au). We approve all successful ShopAndEarn transactions at the end of each day. I assume the delay in crediting Velocity accounts is between ClixGalore and Velocity.

I purchased office supplies via ShopAndEarn at 3 points per $1 on the 19th of January and the 'pending' status appeared next day. This morning (14Feb) I received an email from Velocity approving the transaction and confirming points will be credited within 24 hours. Slight problem, I spent $492 which included free shipping so I should earn 1,476 points - the pending amount showing is 375 points. Doesn't add up!!!:evil::evil::evil::evil:

Nothing posted yet to my account, nothing in the pending.... I have had emails from velocity, again, requesting more information, and letting me know that they are still investigating, but having trouble locating the transactions... thank god for page caching - at least I had a record of exactly when I visited each of the locations :) I have no doubt they will come, I am putting it down to teething glitches, particularly when I see others saying that points are posting almost immediately now.... (next time I will let others work on the bugs )

I have given up on this - it's been a complete waste of time.

Just checked again - still nothing allocated to my account, or into pending.

Oh well.

Anyone buying a FIAT to get 100,000 bonus points?

In a last attempt to either justify this post or prove my point, I espied a promotion that a new connection to Foxtel on a one year plan would elicit ~1900 vp's.

(this with free installation and free first month) - I was in the market for such anyway, so I have given it a go. The Foxtel agent had some issues with this Velocity promo but eventually quoted the exact weird number of VP'S DUE.

I will advise. :)

Hmmm. I thought you would only earn points for filling out the form online - ie not speaking to the agent???

Please let us know if you do get the points!

And this is where I have run into a problem. I filled out the form online but could not complete the app fully. An agent called, and the job was complete. Still no points though.

Also notice that Aussie is no longer a partner, yet I made the appointment and kept it. Good meeting, but no points. And eBay -no points.

I am getting emails from velocity letting me know that they are still working through it!

Anyone got points yet from eBay or Aussie?

Click through the links and there is no form to fill out online! One gets directed to the standard promotional page (12 month contract, 1st month free etc ...)

Me either! I think it's safe to say that this is a bogus program. Don't offer rewards unless you are prepared to honour them. At the very least, some timely correspondence wouldn't hurt!

Well, I stand corrected. I received my points precisely 30 days after the transaction date. I'm happy now :)

Just got my first 777 Shop and Earn points for a purchase from early February. I made an order with Snapfish a couple of days ago which theoretically should get 500 points but hasn't shown up yet on My Transactions - how long should it take to be "pending"?

StevePER: It should come as pending straight away. Send them an email about your missing points with details of your purchase (date / amount / vendor). Good luck!
