Shop & Earn

In a lst attempt to either justify this post or prove my point, espied a promotion that a new connection to foxtel on a one year plan would elicit ~1900 vp's.

(this with free installation and free first month) - I was in the market for such anyway, so I have given it a go. The foxtel agent had some issues with th Velocity promo but eventually quoted the exact wierd number of VP'S DUE.

I will advise. :)

My foxtel points have arrived into my account, with an email letting me know that as a gesture of goodwill I have been allocated the points (16th March)

Still nothing from Aussie (mind you the agent has been in touch a few times now), and nothing from Ebay.

StevePER: It should come as pending straight away. Send them an email about your missing points with details of your purchase (date / amount / vendor). Good luck!
Thanks, I am trading emails (very slowly) with Velocity but no joy yet. I've also tried registering for Bigpond Movies (free trial - 885 points) but that hasn't shown up either. I think there is something systematically wrong with Shop & Earn. Good potential for earning, but so far it seems very hit and miss.

I have several transaction pending/approved through shop & earn.

From what i can tell, they will show up as pending within 1 working day. Most of the points are credited to my account after roughly 45 days.

Some of the retailers which I had points approved from are:

Chaos
Webflicks
Bigpond Movies
BangCD
Games Warehouse
Play4me

I have noticed that many retailers will not actually pay you the amount of points shown on the shop and earn website.

For example, Play4me should pay 4 points per dollar spent. Even when i exclude taxes and postage charges from the price, it wont equal 4 points per dollar. More like 2.5

As for ebay, it has been removed from the shop and earn website. I signed up for it, and got no pending transaction or anything so im assuming it wont work.

i bought some stuff on epharmacy for my gran on the weekend. still nothign showing up as pending for the points.

has anyone used epharmacy and gotten the points??

i do wish they let you enter the velocity number. at least then you have proof you made the purchase corretly when chasing up the points.

Velocity still haven't responded to my email from two weeks ago. Shop and Earn is not winning them any friends.

My ebay points went into pending yesterday - hooray - 675 points... must be going through their backlog.
Now if we can only get Aussie home loans sorted out, and of course for the points to convert from pending to awarded.

Cheers V

my 1st lots of points with epharmacy seems to have been sorted out with the help of some Velocity staff.

my 2nd transaction has been added to my history as pending, so hopefully they have sorted their systems out.

now that i've conned my parents n gran to save money and let me collect some points, that bali trip is slowly getting closer

I just noticed that ePharmacy are only crediting at the rate of 1:1, not 2:1 that's advertised.

Has anyone else had this?

I have had a similar experience with dvdOrchard, which credited me 53 points for a 45 point purchase. Their ratio is supposed to be 2:1. No reply to weekly emails to Velocity. This was the last straw with Velocity. Bring on QFF. :)

it's turned out the 280 points was for my orig purchase of $140. what a coincidence my 2nd purchase was $280.

i've been using firefox for my purchases. anyone else with missing points also using firefox?

Andy from Velocity advised you need the security settings set to medium, which is what IE defaults to. Not sure if FF also uses those settings or if it has an equivalent buried somewhere.
