Is it just me or is the Shop Small site almost unusable on smartphones to local nearby participating stores?

Last year on iPhone it was very easy to local nearby stores by category, this year the site is slow and unreliable..
Anyone experiencing the same problem? Any suggestions to make it work?

You're generous. I found last year's map slow and cough. This year it won't even load...

It is unstable.

What a time for my chip to stop working.. Not reporting till promo over! Three times fail then swipe

Discovered yesterday by mistake that my local butcher is part of Shop Small too. I got the email as I was leaving with delicious food stuff :D

I've registered 3 Amex cards so am looking forward to giving it a workout.

$65 worth of lamb cutlets for $35 at the butchers over 3 cards ☺

The local bottle shop in Parkdale is participating - just not sure they will have anything in the $20-$30 price range to maximise the benefit - will go look tomorrow morning.

Up to $40 so far without even trying - it seems there's a lot of places in my local area participating.

Just as well I registered 3 cards ;-)

I only made 9 last year. See if I can get to 10 this year.

Surprising how they don't make it a global event with identical dates. In the UK - it's on between 5 and 20 December 2015 (£5 back from £10). Made a decent number of transactions last year (3 cards enrolled - my Gold Charge, Plat Charge and a bank Amex), this year just down to two, but will still milk it :)

There are quite a lot of bars near me participating. Sounds like time for an Amex-funded pub crawl!

Yesterday in a local business I tentatively suggested I split a payment (for one thing) across two cards. Owner agreed with enthusiasm and said she got an entry in a draw for every transaction.

But only one transaction per card with the merchant - BUMMER - I should have read the Ts & Cs before buying those 4 botts 2012 St Marys Cab Sav at a small suburban cellar! D'Oh!
To qualify for the offer and receive a $10 credit on the Card Member’s account for each eligible purchase, Card Members must enrol for the offer, and complete a single eligible transaction of $20 or more on their enrolled Card at different participating small businesses listed on https://maps.americanexpress.com/AUShopSmall# between 00:01 (AEDT) on 30 October 2015 and 23:59 (AEDT) on 30 November 2015. Limited to ten (10) credits per enrolled Card with no more than one credit per participating business.

A round of drinks I bought on the weekend turned out to be cheaper than thought once I saw the email the next morning. The coughtails at Pepe's Wollongong Beach are quite nice, as are some of the bar boys ;)

3 credits at two wineries today. I'm counting that as a win.

And another 3 for me.

Also my local vet is on shop small so a great time to stop up on food, and get the cat vaccinated. Definitely winning.

I'm going to try and use it to buy Xmas presents... first purchase yesterday at a small chemist near me which sold gifts, got some lovely earrings for my sister with a $10 discount :)

What to do when a business is listed on the shop small website but their website/merchant refuses the amex transaction?
