I have found Coles Express is more expensive then WW Caltex with BP surprisingly cheaper 4-6c cheaper then both.

The other way around for us - BP is usually anywhere from 10-20 cents dearer. Recently Caltex WW has been running consistently cheaper (during the low end of the cycle) over the past few weeks, with Coles Express only dropping to their lowest price for a day or two before the price jumps again. I won't buy fuel from any of them when they're at the top of the price cycle, always make sure I fill up before it starts to rise again (the joys of having Fuelwatch over here in WA, we get advance warning of when fuel prices are suddenly going to spike!)

Well I guess there is a first time for everything :-). Like Jurahn I almost always find BP to be more expensive - and that is before any shopping discounts. Wish BP would improve their pricing in my area.

I'm with whatmeworry on this. Coles Express is more expensive, even after discount, than the other options around me (BP, Woolworths, 7-11)

Same experience with BP vs C or W (especially when 4 cents per litre discount and 5% gc discount added in). However, when a you haven't bought petrol here, please come back for 250 VFF points no minimum spend - "In like Flynn!"

Occasionally an independent nearby beats all-comers for up to 2 or 3 weeks (all discounts included). I suspect they buy up towards the low in their purchasing cycle with their fuel supplier. Biggest price advantage was 18 cents in late September.

I really should have filled the Gerry Cans.

BP in the west of MEL was about 114c the other day. WW has been persistently at 117c and coles express 118-119c. BP has crept up to 116c while the nearby independent was matching BP at 114c but is now 115c.

The gate price (wholesale) of petrol is around 112c in MEL. Took advantage of bonus 10c off fuel (plus 4c) at WW to fill the car and a jerry can (90L).

Recently their was a report that the Coles Express higher prices was a result of funding Coles supermarkets with fuel sales.

I tried to transfer a bundle of points tonight during the bonus 15% period, but all I get is an error message saying I should contact Velocity. Anyone had the same problem?

Sorry you've had trouble. Please send us your details in a private message and we'll investigate.

Thank you, but the website seemed to have been in a bad mood yesterday.... tried again this morning and it worked like a charm :D

Has anyone come across this problem that I have had for a few weeks now with checking the balance on Coles egcs and gcs? In fact probably from when the 'link your FB to VFF" came up...

When I go to the site it does not work and has a message to ring a 1300 number?

Major pain when you have a lot of gcs and egcs to check. Not good customer service at all....

Has Flybuys and VFF linking taken out all Coles server capacity to deal with customers?

Seems too great a coincidence...

This has been reported and discussed in another thread (http://www.australianfrequentflyer....es-myer-balance-checks-79073.html#post1538129).

The problem was for both Woolies and Coles cards.

Woolies have fixed their problem. Coles has not yet acted.

My understanding is that it is leaked to a hack of the system - at least in Woolies situation.

You can check the balance by phone.

The Woolworths/Wish Gift card site was down for quite some time as well - from threads on OzBargain https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/269932?page=2#comment (posts towards the bottom of the page), and AFF http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ons/wish-coles-myer-balance-checks-79073.html and recent comments on the "New [Amex] Statement Credits" thread, it appears the Wish Gift card site was compromised at some point as as a number of people who went to use their gift cards found they had zero balances and the cards had already been cleaned out. A couple of posts commented that the Coles gift card site was down at the same time, but I don't know whether that's just coincidental or whether there was a similar problem with Coles gift cards.

Would be great for 'openness and transparency' if the companies would inform the public about what is going on.

Tesco Bank is not a good example about how to manage a security breach and this is beginning to smell VERY similar...

That would be Jerry Cans ...

Got an offer of 4 x $40 spends earns 10,000 bonus points so pretty happy that I ignored their mailed vouchers (4 x $150 spends for 5000 points).

Read our AFF credit card guides and start earning more points now.

The 15% extra offer FB to VA ends in a week. Ok, it's 2000 FBs = 870 VA.

2nd edit, the transfer is pretty immediate.
