Should AFF members use luggage tags to identify each other?

Would you use an AFF Member luggage tag?

I would put my hand up for tags as well. I think QF009 has the right idea - simple, one tag that is recognisable and wouldn't be confused with other tags, no specific identifiers other than it's an AFF tag, and then you can have the discussions about who you might be after someone sees the AFF tag and says hello. Skip the different coloured tags - it's not something where having statuses adds to the experience - it's just to give people an opening to say "hello, I see you're on AFF too!".

For the most part you'd probably realise both you and they have status if you were meeting them in the lounge. :p

A very onesided outcome of this poll indeed.

AFF members have spoken! Thanks everyone who voted.

I will discuss with ADMIN the next approach and keep everyone informed...

Mr!

:D

Sounds like a good outcome. Let me know how/where to dump my hard earned cash :)

I've decided not to vote.my luggage tags seem to mysteriously disappear, even those on my carryons.Just lost my last EXP tag and I cant get any more.
I am in favour of the tags in principle. In practise - like drron I always seem to lose them. Have lost almost all my FT and SQT ones already, and not using the remainder for fear of losing them all. :p

What's with you guys :?:

I've never lost a single baggage tag :!:

Great new look to the site!!

With the white circle - the blue etc - I can visualise what the tags could look like...

anat0l and flashware, get them design skills in action!! BTW - flashware, it was adobe photoshop CS3 we were talking about...

If anyone is going to play with a design, remember the final will need to be in CMYK and 300DPI at a minimum

Shall we have a design comp? The prize being the KUDOS of designing the AFF luggage tags? Thoughts everyone...

The conveyor belt has managed to cut my QF Gold tags a couple of times so I do not bother with luggage tags anymore. I think the QF Platinum tags are still in mint condition....

I'm hoping mine are in mint condition - I don't know, I keep giving them away! :D

FWIW, when the AFF tags get up and running, they will be my first luggage tags used (with the exception of a few years ago I had a WP tag on a lappy bag)

I happened to be looking at the gazette when I was thinking about what the design for the tag could be, now I don't need to.

I don't use my baggage tags on checked baggage  only cabin baggage. That could explain why mine are perfectly OK bar a bit of peeling at the edges.

So how are these going? Just asking and hoping there may be a chance the first batch could be distributed at the October function in Sydney.

I think the project is still in design phase and is essentially on ice.

I should probably pull out my virtual pencil and start thinking of some prospective designs, but then again there are a lot of 'should' tasks that I have right now..... :(
