You need to be flying a *O airline to be able visit the *O lounges. So QF, QR, BA, MH etc.

The majority of attendees have Platinum or equivalent status so there have always been enough spots.

Well I am flying out of FRA at lunch time on 30 May, so I will give it a crack!

Don't get too excited. LH has lots of lounges but some you won't have access to unless flying F or have HON status, some inaccessible due to wrong side of schengen/non-schengen. AC lounge is quite good (or was pre-covid as I haven't been back since).

Actually some people do fly there, often as part of a convoluted itinerary, just to attend.

My fav memory was a certain someone did exactly that during one of the HKG run and I benefitted hugely from it with an F upgrade
I'm still trying to get to this one, wish me luck!

Thanks. I’m out of the loop but thought QR only allowed J pax? Have their rules changed post COVID?
Edit: nvm, just noticed you’re flying J. Why would that be an issue entering the QR lounge? Sorry, all noob Q’s as I’ve been out of the loop for quite a long while.

It shouldn't be an issue - QR lounge access is basically Class of Service (and worse, not all Qatar Business class allows access, but rewards do.)

(although I have seen reports of some problems between QR and MH in KUL)

I'll fly up on SQ a few days before the lounge crawl, then plan to fly out on MH J at 19:15.

Last year the similarly timed flight was canned about a month beforehand with the last available departing before 6pm.

Fortunately (or otherwise) my flight is two hours earlier (there‘s no U availability left on the 21:15 departure). Taking bets on which one will go tech
