SIN Lounge Crawl 11 June 2023

Added to Calendar: 11-06-23

Have just stumbled on this thread!

I happen to be arriving in SIN at 18:55, and while I won't be able to enter any lounges, I'd love to briefly drop past and put some faces to names if anyone's willing to meet me at the door šŸ˜
Absolutely. I take it you are not flying OW hence no (common) lounge access? I will be going to a PP lounge at some point so happy to guest you into at least one lounge!

Edit: Or of course SIN is your destination. If you are happy to post your flight details we might arrange a welcome party at the gate. :D

Why are you not able to enter the lounges, there are rules and then there are other rules. I am flying out on QF2 so your arrival time and my departure time may not work. In saying this, the phrase "What could possibly go wrong" was mentioned on this site back in 2019 and during the course of "What could possibly go wrong" the QF lounge had to reopen for a few more hours than normal.

Hey I resemble that remark.

And sudoer may have SIN as final destination. No arrivals access.

I did not mention names so no pack drill ;) I am arriving into KUL 9 Jun around 8 PM and leaving to SIN around midday on 11 Jun. Happy to catch up for dinner or breakfast with anyone who maybe around. I have made plans to catch up with an old friend and this will be my priority if it works out.

If MH610 would open up another U tix, Iā€™ll join all of you for the lounge run and dinner in KL.

Best to keep an eye out as it gets close. Shame that Expert Flyer no longer can search for awards on MH metal.
Currently just 2 seats allocated of the 16 & showing:

J8 C7 D4 Z4 I2 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G9

On Tuesday I was able to book U for this later flight (MH610) departing tonight - there had been none a month ago.
In late February, this flight had no award availability - however it opened up the week prior.

Current loadings are:

J9 C9 D8 Z8 I2 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 G9

Three of 16 seats are allocated. Do note that the flight I took in early March was swapped day of travel to the new 12 seat configuration.

Where will you base yourself in KL? HGI or HKL?

Ah damn, I am arriving on QF81 in SG at 1815 on 11 June with final destination SIN for 10 days. I guess no lounge possible for me
to meet those of you flying out later tonight?

If flying 3K can visit QF Business and First Lounges?

If flying MH610 economy can visit the QF lounges + BA lounge? Does flying MH610 business allow access to QR lounge?

... Does flying MH610 business allow access to QR lounge?
Yes.

I did this on MH610 in March, on an award business seat booked two days ealier.

To be clear, to access the QR lounge at SIN you must be booked on oneworld Business/First class and not on a QR Business Lite fare.

Status has no bearing.

Yes I know QR status does not allow access.

No business awards on MH610 or MH616 but there's business award on MH608 but that leaves 6:10pm and gets to KUL too early. Next stop BKK and don't want to hang around KUL too long.

Haven't yet decided if I stay in airport or head to budget Tune hotel. This will more than likely be last opportunity to visit the Platinum Lounge. From memory it's quite to spend a few hours sleeping there before early MH flight to BKK.
