July is a driving month for me. First to Falls Creek, then ADL, then across the Simpson - with MEL in between each. 7-8,000 km.
You are a busy young lady with lots of energy. ;)

I shall stick to flying. Much easier to get around. :p

To save clogging the ADL drinks thread, I shall continue the conversation here.

I reckon points for a 747 both ways - 'specially if via SYD on the way up and BNE on the way back. :)

Did I miss a conversation somewhere?

You should always go on a 747 instead of an A330. I am going via BNE in a few hours. ;)

A suggestion in the ADL drinks thread that there would be a door prize for the most inventive trip to SIN.

The most inventive would be Jetstar to Darwin, canoe to Denpasar and then Lion Air to Singapore....

That would be the most stupid imho. No points, no SC for at leat 2/3 the trip.

What reason are we here for again please remind me? :)

Prescription is fairly recent medhead so I do not think that is the issue. I would say some sort of inflammation issues.

FWIW I have just done a practice lounge crawl and it is possible to do 4 lounges in ~1 hour. I did not have access to Emirates lounge as next flight is on MH.

I did Skyview, BA, Qantas and now MH Golden Lounge in T2. It is only ~8-10 minutes to go from Skyview to Golden Lounge including Skytrain from T1 to T2.

- Skyview has the better views and food on offer today.
- The BA lounge was ordinary. Dim sims and some pasta.
- The Qantas lounge had pork belly and grilled snapper as choice of cook to order but I did not have time. I tried the kenyan lamb and some chicken dish but both were very stringy. Could not find the desktop but did not ask. On the way out I was greeted by an AFFer who is on their way back home. Small world.
- Golden lounge is very quiet and has some lamb and chicken satay.

I have sampled way too much food and have had 3 Coke lights. :p

I did both the QF and EK lounges last week. Very impressed with the new QF version. EK was much quieter, though - and you get real champagne and a view of the apron and runway.

The EK buffet amused me - whenever you took one item off a particular platter, the staff member whisked away the rest of the platter, and brought it back momentarily with the one you took replaced. It seems there are to be a set number of items on all platters at all times!
