Just did this and given I could not find a thread decided to post experience. Form on Singapore immigration website took 2 mins to complete. No photo required. When you check in at Changi go through immigration at T3. Immediately to your right is a small enrolment office. Was asked a few questions ie did i want to work in Singapore etc. Whole process very friendly and took 10 mins. No cost
This will be great. No incoming cards and get to use the automatic gates. Immigration was an hour on Sat lunchtime so during the day when it is at its most busiest will save heaps of time.
So if you have an Aussie passport and been to Singapore twice in last 24 months well worth it

Useful info, thanks! I used to have this benefit when I was a resident in SG and miss the efficiency, not that the general immigration queue takes a whole lot longer, but it's a nice shortcut and as you mentioned, no incoming card. Will sign up.

My experience signing up for it mimics this too. Painless and free. I was flying Qantas so just took the train across from T1 to T3. Just be aware that the office isn't open 24x7. I think it closes at 5pm, but check the website (and possibly week days only).

We have just obtained approval to use this scheme. As we arrived after the "office hours" at Changi we had to do it at the main office in Lavender. It was still a pretty easy process. I was able to print out the application forms from ICA | Enhanced-Immigration Automated Clearance System . On the same site you must book an appointment time. The ICA office is just above the Lavender MRT station but we were able to catch a bus from Katong that stopped just outside it.

We were about 20 minutes early for the appointment but were seen within 5 minutes. The whole process took only 20 minutes or so for the two of us.

Singapore now have automatic enrolment in this, currently when clearing immigration in T2 only.

On Sunday I landed in T1 from KUL and got some exercise by staying airside to T3 and then T2 from where I cleared. There were plenty of people to assist and I was assured it had worked, but basically by using the designated automatic gates, I was enrolled.

Today I used the T1 automated gates with no issues (inbound to be clear).

This is great news! I wasted an hour at the ICA building a few weeks ago when I went to register. After getting passed around a bit, they informed me it was on hold for the time being. This could explain why.

We had this issued to us on arrival into SIN in May. We flew into T2 on SQ. It was automatic. We were told it had been done as we were handed back our passports.
Unfortunately have a new passport so will have to go through manual immigration once a gain and have it reissued when we arrive in T2 next week

I assume there's still the requirement to have had two entries to Singapore in the previous 24 months, though, correct? In which case, the auto enrolment at T2 would only work on your second or subsequent entry.

Did you have luggage to claim off your KUL flight? If so, how did you claim it, given you entered Singapore at T2.

As early as May/June they were enrolling on the spot. SYD+1 was handed a leaflet explaining eGate after entering (hadn’t been there well before Covid). I visited a few weeks later but none the wiser if I was enrolled or not….

Looks like those pre-conditions are have been removed from the link provided earlier.

What is this checked Luggage thing you refer to!! Only have it if SWMBO is in tow and I don't think I'd be dragging her half way across the airport anyway. :)

AFAIK the initiative page I linked to had no mention of the minimum two visits, but I wasn't looking for such. It wasn't a concern anyway as I have had half a dozen or so entries this year.

Earlier this year I had made several treks to the Enrolment Office near the T3 emigration to find it closed each time. I eventually asked an official nearby about it to be told it would not be reopening; Now I know why.

Another stamp bites the dust
We took a lot of trouble to get that stamp! 😊 It was hard for my wife to get the immigration people to understand that while she was born in Singapore she never had a Singapore ID card or number as it was back in the colonial days. She was also surprised that 'Eurasian' is considered to be a race in Singapore. After all the effort her fingerprints never worked at the gates and while I went straight through she had to go over to the counter and then be sent through a side passage to catch up with me.

Ha. Yes. I forgot who I was talking to.

Interestingly, there appears to be two very similar programs, one of which does have a two-entries-in-24-months requirement.

The one serfty linked to is the Automated Clearance Initiative. The one I had been reading about yesterday is the Frequent Traveller Programme.

I can't really ascertain what the difference in benefits are. Both seem to give fast-track at Immigration by way of e-clearance.

Does anyone know the difference? Why would you take one over the other?

Both those links are the same
