Singapore QF/BA lounge new changes

Nope! I just have never noticed them and thought, particularly at MEL, they did not exist. I'll have to look harder next time.

In BNE, they are tucked behind a large wall / column. Look beside the ramp leading up to the toilets, walking towards the farthest side of the buffet from the entrance. There are about 4 computers.

In SYD, they are on the raised timber platform / terrace on the ground floor of the lounge.

In MEL, enter the lounge facing the front desk, then make a right. The computer room has no windows; also in this area are the meeting rooms.

No printers is a disappointment. I travel with a smart phone and iPad... that doesn't help if I need to print. I use the printers quite frequently domestically and internationally.

I've read through the posts but no references to champagne... am I right in guessing, solely based on who can enter i.e. nearly everyone, that there is no champagne?

I believe the wine list - based on looking at what was on display behind the bar whilst awaiting my second Tiger (cough), is predominately Australian, so I'd assume the bubbles were the same.

An Aussie sparkling called Salinger is available. I only walked pas the bar area, so I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there is any champagne on offer. This would be similar to other QF Intl Business lounges I think?

First time in the new SIN lounge this afternoon and it still has that 'new lounge smell'. Not a bad effort for a J lounge. Too bad there is no F lounge as supplied previously. Another 'enhancement' I suppose. Nothing to dry your hands in the toilets however (tissues are on offer for wet hands which is a bit strange).

Starting to fill up now (16:50 local) so it will be interesting if the overcrowding issues experienced previously are still present. With only one QF SIN-PER flight a day now, QF78 is showing as completely full on EF so it will be a tight trip home tonight. I see SQ is also full in Y as well. No need for the second QF flight then even though all flights are full?

So how is the QF 'Wine Tasting panel" progressing tonight?

StKilda, but no body wash!

I thought there was body wash in my shower?? I think I had room #20 - the baby/disabled room with extra space. Pretty sure it's rhe same one I used last time in SIN 2 yrs ago, pre refurb. I had Little Miss 6 with me, so the attendants tend to give us the larger shower room when available.

Guys I will be in J on QF36 back to melb in about a months time but will need to print some documents in SIN before I board the plane as I am going straight to a meeting once I land.
As the QF lounge has no PC/printer what are my options ?
Will I be allowed into the Emirates lounge ? Is there even a PC/printer in there ?
Or is there anywhere else in SIN that I can access email and print ? Even if I have to pay I'm not too fussed.
If you have status and a Oneworld boarding pass then you can try the British Airways lounge. If you really need some documents printed you can ask the Qantas staff for assistance and they may take you into the lounge next door.

In the scheme of lounge budgets, the provision of, say, 4 desktops and a printer would hardly be noticeable.
As long as the desktops are not Samsung series 9. The AFF editor does not appear to function properly.

what browser? I assume Chrome ... Seen plenty of bugs in that one for some sites.

Firefox can run well from USB ;)

The seats in here are bloody uncomfortable. Very loud with the polished concrete(?) floors- think kids.

Might try the EK lounge when it reopens at 6pm.

how does the BA lounge compare? 3 lounges while I'm here would be admitting to my obsession, which I'm not yet prepared to acknowledge!
