Singapore QF/BA lounge new changes

Would have to say the best part of the new lounge in SIN is the personal service for P1that I have experienced since its opening.

From the premium check in area we were escorted to through immigration, to the lounge, and shown to a table or chair, asked if we would like a drink or something to eat. The customer service rep then discussed my seeating requirements and connections and was knowledable of my trips for the next week.

Come time to board offered an escort to the gate and personal welcolme on board from that same customer service rep.

Without a doubt, excellent personal, unobtrusive service that impressed me no end.

Well done Qantas

Just a shame you can't connect to anything useful on OW via SIN anymore as it doesn't fit into the new EK world.

The HKG F lounge is pretty average and in dire need of something new, as promised many moons ago but never delivered. Luckily the CX Wing F is absolutely amazing so WP/F do get looked after there, even if I feel slightly disloyal sitting in another carriers superior lounge. You can also connect to other OW flights too which is rather handy.

After a few false alarms, I am finally flying QF out of SYD and then SIN over the course of this week/weekend.

Shall post my experiences when back in Oz.

Sadly I had to re-route this trip at late notice and fly SQ instead (purely due to scheduling and seat availability).

The next SIN trip is SQ, but the one after will hopefully be QF so I might eventually be able to check out this lounge... It is interesting to read "rave" reviews in this other thread:

Hi Everyone,

Well we finally got a chance to check out the new lounge. It was very nice and relaxing indeed. We had enough time to have something to eat have a few drinks and relax before our flight home. The staff were very helpful and I was able to take a quick photo of the bar before sitting down for my first drink. :)
