SkyTeam Status Match - ITA Airways

Status match rejected for invalid reason. New ITA account with new QF / OW emerald match.
Interesting, I applied this morning with a new ITA account and QF Plat. Will report back when I get a response.

Just got an email back today, 7 days after I applied, confirming I'm now Executive Club, valid til 1/26. :)
That’s good! Did you match using QFF, or another FF program. I’m thinking the issue on mine might be that I used the digital card which also shows LTS, and they might have picked up on that instead of the WP status.

Cheers,
Matt.

I got a match to my BA Gold. Came through yesterday.

Used digital Qf Plat card. I'm LT Gold though.

Applied for the match last Wednesday and noticed my ITA Airways status has now been updated to Executive in the app. Haven’t received an email or anything…

Hopefully MU recognises the ITA status… does anyone have experience?

Yes works with MU.
In SYD, had access to the QF J lounge and then lounges in PVG and CDG.

You didn’t try the ST lounge at SYD?
I personally think it’s better than the QF J lounge IMO but it seems MU direct passengers to the QF lounge
ST lounge does not have an agreement with MU so all MU passengers are sent to QF.

I’d be interested to know if SkyTeam Elite tier members would be turned away from the ST lounge.

Other airlines' elites seems to be following the operating airline's policy for lounge access.
VS, SV, AM, KQ, AZ, AR, MEA, UX elites amongst others are not allowed access to the ST lounge in SYD.

That is not correct, it’s based on operating airline. So a VS Elite Plus flying KE would be invited to the SkyTeam lounge in Sydney.

I have a feeling that it’s because the SkyTeam lounge in Sydney is actually just a priority pass lounge in disguise they following based on signed agreements with individual airlines rather then a generic SkyTeam policy.

Sorry yes I meant that those other than the airlines shown above will be subjected to the operating airline policy.

Does anyone know if there are any benefits for Skyteam Elite Plus members when flying with Shanghai Airlines? They seem to be an "affiliate member" but beyond that I can't find anything information online about what that entails...

Can I please check with the brain trusts if ITA Volare status is recognized when flying Vietnam airlines. TA
