So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

I am really very happy with the metallic white colour of my latest Lexus. The dark blue really showed the dust.

We have a Subaru liberty GTB STI but really want a Lexus. Problem is we got this car for such a good deal and its great to drive, comfortable, safe, fast enough... that the 80k difference between what we paid for this fine car and what we would need to pay for any other car that was better than it just doesn't seem worth it.
Thats the problem with bargain buying sometimes. I think we will have this one until it dies (but with a mechanic in the family and services ever 5000ks I don't think that will be any time soon - disappointingly)
And 80k can get me a lot of places!

A pair or boring BMW's a 320i for SWMBO and a 535d for me. Mind you, I usually end up driving the smaller 3 series around the city.

I have had a few BMWs. a 2005 330ci convert, followed by 2008 M5 then a Range Rover Sport V8 (loved that car except for fuel...) to the latest purchase which is a 2010 Porsche Cayenne S. I looked at the Cayenne Turbo, but it was hideously quick. Far more power than I required for a daily driver.
Mrs F has had, in order, an Alfa 147, then a Crossfire convert (a dud of a car) then a BMW 125 convert and now a Porsche Boxter S. That car is brilliant, but only for drives of 2 hours or less....

My last four cars have been Subaru Liberty, and due to their handling on wet roads etc will probably get another one albeit as the kids now have their own small cards I will most likely get the smaller Subara Imprezza RS which is the normal 2.5 4cyl engine.

As both kids have now finished high school and into Uni I thought it time to enjoy some of the fruits of life and 5 months ago purchased a Kawasaki GTR1400 motorbike, which is like an armchair on two wheels and have done over 10K thus far. Bike riders don't seem to understand that you are totally invisible to all other drivers, so should ride accordingly. Life is too short to cut between traffic.

benmay this will be what he expects to be picked up from the airport with his special packages for you GPH

He picked me up in the [new] Mazda (2 or 3) the other week. Getting over the gateway bridge, I had to jump out and push, and on the downhill element, was enough force to get us back to his place for lunch

The Suby Liberty is a very nice car

The old Imprezzas 2008-2012 were rubbish and cheap

The new Imprezza is much better but still feels cheap compared to the Liberty, but then again it is a cheaper car

I have the current Liberty GT. Goes like the clappers and sticks to the road like granny's porridge. Sensational to drive in the country and for passing the endless road trains on trips to places like Broome and Kalgoorlie. I'd never again have a front-wheel drive vehicle after AWD.

They are great on country roads aren't they!

We dont have a problem with ours.. the biggest pain is city carpark entries - its really a rally car at heart so the dirt roads we need to take are no match for its muscle

(2009 Liberty STI)

Had a 2006 sti but wanted a sun roof and hit a roo in it so passed it on to my uncle (had it repaired first and sold it for the price I paid which was still super cheap a year later).

Went to look at a RangeRover Sport, ended up buying this instead...
