Well this is intriguing. How cryptic. I wonder when they plan to start whatever this promotion is?

Looking into the 3 rewards...

1. Something for your membership - perhaps a status upgrade or bonus status credits offer?
2. Something for your account balance that requires the Velocity app - perhaps some sort of promo with the App to earn bonus points?
3. Something to sweeten up your next holiday - I assume this would be a VA flight sale

So, my uneducated prediction is that there will be a sale and you'll earn bonus points & status credits if you book via the Velocity app. Pure guess though!

Their current Flybuys competition is running until 13 October, so I think this is unlikely to be that.

Actually that number is getting incremented by 1 every time I refresh the page. I guess it's the number of visits to the page or some sort of a counter ... Or they'd release something once the page has got sufficient hits ? may be 10 mil ?

Okie, the IT programmer in me said that I could use something called an "Object Spy/Inspector" to see what's hidden behind the offer image and I got this



Look at the area marked by a red square - it says "SC_10Million_VFF", so I'm thinking the first offer/promo is something to do with status credits

The other two just say "APP_blah_blah" and "VA_blah_blah", so I'm guessing these two are to do something with the Velocity app and VA tours/holidays etc

Yep, it's just a counter. From one of the scripts, looks like this will be revealed next Friday Oct 11:

The counter increases by 1 roughly every 6 seconds which is worked out between the difference of the two dates and the start / end counter.

Some more information - it's just a count of members who've access the page.

But the flaw here is that,

1. The website is designed to assume that those who are visiting the page are members, which may not be true ?

2. I'm not logged into my VFF account, so technically I'm not a member visiting this page

3. A page receiving 10 million hits doesn't directly mean that 10 million members have visited the page

That's right, as @JFi noted, the page counter updates every 6 or so seconds.

I'm almost done reading that article and per the article, Sparkling water isn't bad for you. However, one needs to exercise restraint if they've got IBS or any gastro-intestinal issues or have issues with bloating or gas. Rest are fine.

Also, it seems the idea that sparkling water is bad for your teeth and bones (osteoporosis) ain't completely true
