Just tried the eggplant dish and very tasty!

Friday afternoon in the MEL J lounge. The meatballs didn't have a lot of flavour and asked for multiple services of the chilli to give it some kick on the second serve. The eggplant wasn't bad but not sure I'd race back for it.

They only had rice when I flew QF a few months ago.
I am not really keen on the rice pork dish tho.
But good to see they provide a dry noodle, as an option, apart from the curry(ish) laksa.

Yes when I was there last Nov it was rice only.
First time seeing the dry noodles too!

I’m not really sure if it’s an enhancement. It’s one of my least favourite on the rotation as they are way too salty and don’t really work with the dish IMHO

Today’s menu at the Spice Bar, MEL J lounge. Had the veg wonton soup. The broth was really good. Enjoyed the dish with pickled ginger

The broth has the usual blanded down base but easily pimped up with fresh chilli (at the station) and minced chilli, chilli flakes and I would recommend a dash of fish or soy sauce. One of the better dishes I’ve had.

Dish itself Salty but otherwise flavourless. To be fair, not hungry (and have had several days in Singapore eating hawker and restaurant food this month).
