Spice bar at Melbourne Qantas Domestic Business Lounge

With the whole Spice Bar theme I wish they just did Hot’n’Spicy chicken, chips and gravy 😅.
I should just bring a KFC box meal into the lounge and put it on a ceramic plate.
Imagine the horror look from lounge attendants.

I've taken Hungry Jacks into the lounge there. Didn't think about plating it though.

The spice bar menu has been the same on my last three visits to this lounge: Lions head meatballs or spicy yuxiang style eggplant with wood ear mushroom.

I wouldn't mind some properly fried KFC by a cook. Best KFC i had was at Jewel Changi. That rivalled top tier korean fried chicken joints.
When I was much younger I did work at KFC. Now whenever I go in Australia, I can tell 95% of the time they don't follow the proper procedure to ensure a properly prepared product. For example some of the chicken comes out pale in color indicates they did not stir the fryer oil.

Allot of the time the Zinger breasts are not double coated, by the cook which is noticeable with thin zinger coating. Kills me when Hot and Spicy makes an appearance and they don't double bread.

If they offered me the challenge "Why don't you go back in the kitchen and do it better", I would accept the challenge :).
 
Seeing we are on the subject of food, have you noticed that the knives in the lounges are blunt. Not just blunt but almost as if the edges had been ground flat. They won't even cut the beetroot slices!
 
Ha- I have the same, just that I used to work at Meccas. It brings me to tears when they don’t close the bags according to “standards” as McDonald’s calls it or they mess up a standard burger.

Not just in the lounges, I have eaten in a couple of public restaurants in the past few days, and all the knives needed a run thru the sharpener...
