Same here.... so far.
So no drinks after takeoff, is that just to save money?

Our trip to Europe (mainly Spain, few days in Paris and couple day stopover in SIN) is from mid April to mid May and I have only booked award flights to\from CDG. The only accomodation booked is for an overnighter at CDG and now I'm probably going to delay booking accom to see what unfolds in the next few weeks, especially Spain.Yep our flights still unaffected. However, now wondering if it's smart to travel, and what the cost of postponing would be. Up until now, I've been confident that we wouldn't be much at risk. The issue is not so much whether WE get sick; I don't want to be stuck in lockdown somewhere because a small group of OTHER people got sick (like what's happening in Italy).
I had really hoped things would be going back to normal by end Feb...its just seems to be getting worse.. baah
Because people are aholes. What is back to normal?
If you assume that this is essentially a flu like virus (but with a longer infectious period), the new normal is a world with Covid19. Just like it is a world with the seasonal flu.
Eventually it will become widespread enough that it will just be accepted that is out an about.
In the meantime containment is slowing it down, but sooner or later it will most likely change managing it.
That is not to say that people who are symptomatic should not fly. But it does make one wonder why those with the flu (a proven killer) have had little in the way of preventing them to fly, be in the workplace etc.
On the optimistic side the measures (both by individuals as well as by authorities) being rolled out due to Covid19 may lead to a reduction in those dying, or being hospitalised, from the catching flu.
Because people are aholes.
I had someone sent home twice in 2 days last year. He literally stood over my cubicle buddy and said, "Ill try not to cough on you as I have the flu"
I slammed my pen down, stood and walked into his managers office and he was sent home BUT returned the next day and told someone else he "still had the flu". And repeat my hissy fit and he got sent home.
Its presenteeism. To be seen, as the ad says, to be "soldiering on". Theres no reason for it, especially in our office as we can all do our jobs at home or anywhere in the world (which Ive proven) so no reason for anyone to come in sick. We're office workers, not surgeons.
I'm still Ok, but waiting to see if SIN flights banned from FRA or JFK.
