SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

How long can a stopover be?

Unsure sorry. I don’t recall seeing any time period mentioned. Would be good to know though.

FWIW Caviar was on the menu and served on our SIN-SYD night flight last month.... we were on SQ221

Mine too when I took this flight in September. I think I recall reading that anything that serves the supper service does not have caviar. SQ221 departs just in time for the full dinner service.

all the more reason I will be less likely to rebook my 00:05 flight on teh A380 in F for future reference,

Caviar is one thing I would really have liked to try

Tough choice! We decided to forgo the caviar this time for the ‘suite opportunity’!
We had a plane switch last year so have done F, but are yet to try suites.

Well comparing the T3 lounges with several others I've visited around the world in the past couple of years, I am impressed. I didn't really see them as tired or needing a makeover.

my relatives have flown their first pointy end in J last night, overnight flight,
and they were told there was no teddy bears left!

they are devastated :)

A quick question for those in the know.
Heading MEL to SIN in a few weeks with Mrs UXB in suites on SQ 218. I don't usually stop in SIN as the destination is always Europe so this is a first for me. We've decided to breakfast and shower in TPR before heading into town. I know I've read it here somewhere but what happens to the luggage. Do they leave it on or next to the carosel or take it somewhere?? Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers Danger UXB

Just buy from Ebay

Or ring SQ and see if they will send it in post
Gave them a call, ended up fighting with them.

Told them the cabin staff told them to call the call centre to see if they can arrange.
Says no guarantee but they can put the request throguh.
After 20 mins get told, they can only put through requests for unavaialble stock a few days before the flight.

So i asked her to put through the request for the future return flight

"I'm not too sure what you mean"

That’s all you can do. It is no use arguing with the call centre staff. They have no power to action anything (edit anything beyond what their computer says they can). Sometimes it’s better let them suggest a solution, and if unhappy with it, HUACA (hang up and call again) - maybe at a time when the shift changes - day later in day or the next day.

yes I'll try again once more at different time and see how it goes

nothing lost nothing gained
