Naive question as I never really paid attention to loadings before, but how would the above passenger loading compare to the same aircraft/route pre-pandemic?
We fly out in a few weeks from SYD at 1100. We have never departed SYD on Singapore Airlines previously. How early can we check-in? We have J bookings and I believe we can use either the KF or Air NZ lounges.
Reference point for those with pre-revaluation of KF Award bookings - if you are seeking to make simple changes to those bookings like date change then the SQ web site is currently seeking extra points and $s which is not correct - until this problem is rectified you will need call SQ and get an agent to make changes for you at ZERO pts and $s - i had to do this yesterday and it was rectified without question.
That post from @Cruiser Elite was on Friday.I'm loathe to contradict the font of all matters SQ, but I changed the date on an SQ pre-revaluation award booking on-line yesterday with no difficulty at all. It was a simple one pax SIN-MEL booking for next year but it went through quite easily.

The visit to the J lounge was just after a reno so probably 8 years ago. It was the 1100 departure and an early am connect so we would have got into the lounge around 0900 so eggs Benedict and champagne. For the F lounge we had the 0755 departure and o/n in the Rydges so got in a little after 0600 and much better champagne but regardless I'm sure if you rock up before 0900 they'll be open.Really? The equivalent lounges in MEL are just glorified waiting rooms - not a destination worth arriving early for. Are the ones in SYD really much different?
The major difference is they are not in the basement, larger and just feels better. Based in ADL I would prefer to transit SYD (I was used to it but did not like it) if travelling SQ.Really? OK so 2 hours is not a great amount of time to properly experience TPR - my initial thoughts are quite disappointing - totally gone is that exclusive 'Club' feel that old TPR had which i loved - those deep plush high backed chairs that were so striking in appearance and comfortable to sit now a distant memory - as for the stark 'undressed dining tables' OMG all I can think is Coles Cafeteria compared to dining area in old TPR.
When I quizzed Lounge Staff they did tell me the lack of tablecloths has been raised continually by pax since opening - Management has made no decision on this as yet. I did have a couple of Lounge Staff Members who did know me from pre-Covid days so pleased they have retained their posions.
Overall my firat impression is that new TPR is quite sterile and certainly lackd character - time will tell if it grows on me.
I did take q quick waltz through new F Lounge and TBH it looks pretty good - it is an improvement on old F.
