SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

I have four small grandchildren flying J reward at Christmas to/from Europe. Tickets don’t reflect ages. I know they do on passports bit they won’t show as children travelling. Is there a way I can get them recognized as children so that the meals are suitable and perhaps they’ll receive SQ kids pack?

Are you sure that their ages were not included in the booking, as this would be quite unusual. If they are flying J reward, it should be possible to choose meals for them via the Singapore Airlines portal using 'Book the cook'. There is an option to choose between specific meals for children (there is a list of them) as well as a variety of other 'adult' meals.

Thank you, the option to choose childs meal is now available. Not sure why we couldn’t see it before.

Any recommendations on book the cook MEL - SIN, are they still doing caviar?

Whats the henri girard like?
I do love dom, the presitge, price, taste are excellent. But on pure taste alone i prefer the krug

Edit: can someone remind me again, can you order the food on the menu st anytime, as many times. Or was that emirates F?

Giraud was very good, my favourite so far from their rotating collection but Krug is still next level.

EK has the anytime unlimited menus. On SQ you can eat whenever you like but there’s no unlimited caviar etc.

You’ll get caviar on any SQ F flight Ex Mel.

I had the pasta from inflight menu few weeks ago and it was very good (posted photos on this thread).

The caviar is requested onboard and is separate to book the cook etc?

On my first F/R SQ trips back before Covid-19 I had Lobster, steak and rack of lamb, but some how I forgot about Caviar….

Did you have the “Pork & fennel sausage pasta with red wine” or a different pasta?
(I will go and look for your post wher my question will likely be answered.)

I see lobster thermidor is available for both J & F on book the cook SIN to LHR, are they the same?

Caviar is part of the appetisers you’ll be offered onboard before the main dish.

Exactly the same pasta on the same route as well.

They’re similar but F gets bigger tail with more meat.

looking for some suggestions on how best to handle this please..

booked my dad a J reward early this year with miles that would have now expired due to the covid extensions.
Current Departure in Nov 2023, return in March 2024.

He isn't well enough to go, so wants to now go Oct/Nov 2024 and return Feb/March 2025.
