SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Seems the regional A350 is going to appear on the MEL route again and some interesting changes with another 777 coming onto the route later this year :)

Flight schedules for the NH Summer don't seem to be set in stone yet with a regional A350 appearing all over the flight schedule :(

I have to bring my cpap machine on my upcoming SQ trip as a carry-on. Is the weight of a medical equipment included in the carry-on allowance?

Any experience with Y or J availability into Japan in Jan? Looking at ski trip Jan 2026 (book Jan 2025). Wondering if stick with SQ/VF and how many points should aim for.

Cheers

Got excited that a CDG-SIN flight in F in July was going to change to R with a schedule change notification.

Nope - Just leaving 45 mins earlier - Interestingly the website to confirm the changes listed the new arrival time at 18:05, instead of 06:05

Whoops and could be quite confusing for some !

No. Or at least there shouldn't be. When I purchased mine, they gave me a letter declaring it medical equipment etc. I've not ever had to produce it.
