I think pyjamas would actually be counterproductive on a sector like MAA-SIN anyway, by the time you change into and out of them. The flight time on this sector is usually only 3.5 hrs. A true red-eye, like PER-MEL. Very difficult to get any decent sleep on the flight.
Agree. BOM-SIN a couple weeks ago was a fraction over 4.5 hours, red-eye. By the time you settle in post take-off and have a (very) quick bite to eat, the available sleeping time was about 3 hours. Most people skipped the meal in business.
Well, to my surprise, a couple of days later I received an email stating "As a token for the inconvenience, we will provide each affected passenger with a service recovery voucher valued at SGD 150. Additionally, if there was an involuntary downgrade from ScootPlus to Economy Cabin, we will refund a portion of the ticket's base fare"
Sure enough I received the voucher for SGD150 a few days later, and it has already been used to purchase a Scoot+ ticket from SIN to KUL, to connect with other flights I had already booked. Have to say I was impressed, as I had not requested or expected the voucher.
Exact same thing for me (immediate issue of the Scoot voucher), but you will have to chase them for the refund of portion of base fare. But that is only a refund of a portion of the base fare for that sector, so it won't be much.
Fourthly, will I get any amenities kit or pyjamas for these flights? Considering the MAA-SIN is departing MAA around 2311, arriving SIN around 06xx and the next one is a day flight, departing 07xx, arriving SYD 16xx
Don't be shy about asking for whatever you want in terms of amenities. Some crews place some at your seat, sometimes they come around and ask, sometimes nothing happens but they are more than happy to fill any requests. I don't mind that, less waste.
Sooo… what are loadings normally like on SIN-SFO and VV in J? Specific dates are 23rd May the 7:30pm flight and June 3rd the 10pm flight to SIN.
I’m wondering what the odds are of having a spare seat for my infant to sleep on. And otherwise what the best strategy is with an 20 month “infant” and a just 4YO too!
I am flying out early tomorrow morning from SIN - FCO in J with no status. My sister is flying SIN - IST in Y. Do you think there's any chance of them allowing me to guest her into the lounge in SIN T3 at all? Has anyone has this experience before?

Thanks @LinaLee for the info. I assume the United lounge was your preferred option , given the SQ lounge closure? Has there been any update on the reopening date for the SQ lounge? Hoping it will be reopened by mid June.

Sorry, no idea if refurbished on track. Hopefully it is.
Yes, united is sometimes a bit further out for SQ as the gates they tend to use is around 43/44. But really less than 10 min walk if fit.
Chose united for the bar . Read somewhere Air Canada does not have champagne for brekkie as I’m on SQ 317 leaving at 11ish. Food options is standard. But it’s a very busy lounge. I read air Canada is supposed to be quieter.
The united lounge is only a club one but quite good. Lots of food options even for breakfast. When I was leaving to board around nearly 11am they were replacing with salads getting ready for lunch I guess.
So what did you think? Would you sell your soul for a repeat?
Any pics?
I clearly need medical assistance as I find higher-end Champagnes does not agree with me these days over a prolonged period of consumption.
When I was a prodigious SQ flyer last century, I found the drier and more tart Lanson in J not inferior to the F Krug. Did you have any opportunity to form or confirm a view?

I only had the one glass & enjoyed it. I also had a rum & coke which takes me back 20 years as well as a glass of white wine with lunch.
I'll taste all 3 champagnes on my flight to London. Research of course
