2nd advantage is space in front Row 1 and behind Row 2 allowing pax to cross aisles without having to traverse Galleys
My question was more about if the checkin desks are open for an earlier flight than the one I am on, will they let me check in? HLO of course.Yep, pretty sure you can. If it's on the same booking, though, both will be checked in at once.

100% correct - USA dep excluded since 01/10/2014 - I am sure I posted that in the relevant thread.got denied the transit vouchers yesterday coming in from JFK - USA based departures supposedly excluded since 2014. also missed out on 1st choice of main!
MEL this has been discussed at length previously - you know the reason why this space exists - don't blame SQ for you being 12ft tall - the beds comfortably fit normal pax.which i would have rather they used to make a longer bed! One cross-over maybe (either forward of 1 or behind 2), but they could have made two rows of proper full length beds had they removed one.

As for meal choice which cabin? How many pax in cabin?
Surely! If you can do multi-carrier check-in at those kiosks, then they must be able to check you in to other flights. But I'm speculating. Would be interesting to know!
Thanks all for the confirmation. You can definitely check in early, as long as the desk is open.
If you walked up to the check in desk 48 hours early, it may be a different story. But within the same day? Shouldn't be an issue at all.

The retro fit of existing 773s took place same time 77Ws were introduced - the F seat on 773 and 77W are identical as you are aware. 77W F cabin footprint was specifically tailored around 8 F Seats - but F cabin footprint on existing 773s was approx 1.5mtrs longer that new 77W aircraft.I don't recall the discussion on why there's space before and after?
JT I don't know how you booked your R exp but booking through SQ I always receive online checkin notification 48hrs prior to dep - rcvd via both SMS and email - I always checkin then.Considering I have a fair time between arriving in SYD before my SQ flight, am I able to check into my flight whilst checkin for an earlier flight is open? I.e. earlier than 3 hours before my flight?
Eggs Beno in TPR just sublime this am - PH Rare not too shabby either:
