Will they let you use the Medicare certificate at all?
I'm helping with enquiries for an elderly uncle. Has the Australian one but issues with acquiring the international certificate.
You need to get the Australian Government issued International certificate available from MyGov / Medicare or app. It has the QR code that links your vax history with passport details.

Make sure the full name entered matches the passport details. Medicare defaults to middle initial - which might throw up an error.

PS
Checked in earlier and definitely no testing for transit in SIN (let alone arriving in LHR). Sorry, I meant to ask about FRA but didn’t want to confuse the checkin staff…

@SYD, is the first class lounge in SYD open?
Is there a date for the TPR opening?
Don’t know about the TPR but they had a seperate section roped off for 1st PAX in SIN. Didn’t notice what was happening with the SYD 1st section.

The SYD lounge was pretty chockers. NZ can’t reopen soon enough.

Executive Traveller posted about the TPR in February: Singapore Airlines pushes back opening of new first class lounges

It was supposed to open in February 2022, but has been pushed back to an unknown date.

Executive Traveller understands the delay could last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, and is entirely dependent on factors such as regional borders reopening and supply chains swinging back into gear.

Anyone know if can to get to Belfast (BFS/BHD or Dublin (DUB) using Krisflyer points?
Obviously i can fly to LHR and buy another ticket on Aer Lingus or British Airways but prefer a single booking.

These destinations appear in Singapores where we fly page as a codeshare airlines, but that may only be for purchased tickets, nothing comes up in the online bookings search, but as said on their site, not every route is shown and need to call (and wait for 3 hours plus, apparently).

I have booked some economy awards to/from SIN on SQ.

Currently there is no frequent flyer number in the bookings. How do I add my Velocity Number to them.

Online I can only select KrisFlyer.

Use the United award search to find flights for DUB

Belfast is pretty much OW only via BA

I had the same issue but they were J awards - so didn’t really matter. I couldn’t even get SYD+1’s KF number to stick but got that done at the airport.

I think there’s a discussion on SQ awards locked to the KF number. I recall it being mentioned in the NZ SM thread.

You should be able to get it in at the airport for lounge access etc. Do you need it for better seat selection?

heya everyone, can any experts explain what just happened,
family member was looking at yesterday Melbourne - Osaka one way for end of may, they logged in to my account

every 3rd day seemed to have award saver avaiaiblity on J, whilst theo other days had waiting list
however the middle of box of 91,000 (If I recall) had to its left a another box saying "promo" for 67,000 points

they booked it, got charged 76,000 points,
last night I checked on those days and the entire month is zero availability even for waiitng list,

did they just get immensely lucky?

EDIT: I just checked again and it seems to have come back and now the availability is showing again so maybe a website issue,
btw what is this PROMO points rate? is it a new thing?

So I booked a flight the other day (Miles redemption BNE-SIN in J if it matters) and for some reason I’ve ended up with two itineraries in my trip list. Two different booking references, same date, same flight, same class, same PAX name. One is confirmed and ticketed, one reserved no ticket.

Anyone come across this before? Suggested course of action? Do I cancel the non-ticketed one online? Call and cancel? What will happen if I do nothing at all and just leave it?

Most likely it was a Spontaneous Escape Rate.

but yet the promo did say 67,000 points....

just weird

I did notice the first time explored itineraries and got partway through an itinerary, but didn't pay, a PNR was created and waiting for me the next time I went on. You'll probably get a "spam" email saying you forgot to book the first time.

Cancel the non-ticketed one online, or just let it lapse. I wouldn't panic about it :)

Looking at booking a long weekend MEL-SIN in Business Lite (fare code: DT6AUR).

Like everyone, I'm wary of booking anything without ability to cancel (for either a refund or a credit) given the past 2 years. I see in the fare rules that a No Show Fee is Applicable ($390) and Cancellation/Refund is not allowed.

Am I correct in saying that if you don't show up you forfeit the cost of the booking AND then get charged a further $390 on top?

Think it means you get charged No Show if you miss yr flight and phone up expecting to get on the next one.

if you don’t turn up and don’t ask for a later flt then you’ve done yr dough..

what are the rules around changing itin ?

Hi all. Any advice appreciated.

Am looking to book flights from Perth through Singapore in September. Wife is waiting on an Aus passport (8 week wait) and sons passports is expired (8 week wait for new one). Trying to book flights and need to input passport details.

Anyone found a way around this? Can I give old passport details with a made up expiry and then amend them when the new ones arrive?

Any advice or similar experiences much appreciated!

Thanks
