I applied for the card but didn't go for the signature because I realised I still have a 10k St George card that I've never even used and I was worried about the combined limits causing a decline.
Either way I got declined immediately which shocked me, but didn't bother me so much. then this morning I received an email to say my application was approved and the card is on the way?

I will most likely convert these to velocity points despite the 2:1 conversation as I just don't have the requirement/use for QFF anymore.

That's a shame, got this card a month ago :( Damn missed out again.

My application initially got declined but a long winded process to get it approved. You can read about it here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....lify-signature-card-65290-26.html#post1515826

One of the few left that is good for ATO, but don't spend too much $ on ATO as someone spent too much (roughly $30k in divided payments) got cut from the rewards program.

$1=1.5 St George Reward points = 0.75 KF/CX/QF/VA (not including the yearly 10% Bonus points on your Birthday), which brings it to 0.825 miles per $. Better than the Citibank Signature card, which is 0.75 miles/$.

Applied for the Amplify Platinum card tonight.

Had to send latest 2 payslips.

No instant approval.

Got the following message:

'Thank you. Your Credit Card application with $6000 credit limit has been approved subject to verification. '

Starting to worry about the capability of St George.

Since my application I have had 4 phone calls and 4 emails.

Emails have asked me to supply payslips. Which I have now done 4 times.

Phone calls, inter alia, have claimed that I have never sent the payslips and that I have made multiple applications over the past few days.

Sorry they are stuffing you around Dr Ralph.

Applied for Signature Mon, Approved Tue, Sent financials Wed, Told pickup location Thurs.
Called following monday and picked up card at local branch.
About as smooth as it gets.

Much easier than Qudos.

Sounds like a complete balls up.

I'd never banked with St George (former/current WBC customer though). Application conditionally approved and finalised after 2 x payslips submitted. Cards turned up after 3 working days. Same for my wife as well.

Both have hit spend requirements so now the waiting game begins...

Has anyone recently processed an ATO payment and received QF points?

I ask as I'm interested in applying in order to make my ATO payments.

Thanks

My son will do a tester. He flew over on the Virgin red eye last night to Sydney so he is sleeping it off this morning.
I carried the unpaid ATO bills with me seeing they are due by 28th October.
Red eye flights even in business class from Perth to Sydney are too tough on my body.

I used to get points but no more. I pushed the limits a bit i'm afraid and got a call to say no more business spend or they will cancel my card. They said they are in the process of moving in line with Westpac policy of no ATO

I don't think so. Westpac Kris Amex works well but is no longer issued.

Another phone call today asking for an additional 2 payslips as my previous payslips did not contain details of my accrued sick leave entitlements. WTF!

I got awarded reward points for ATO spend earlier this month. Spent about $9k on ATO this month. I'm self-capping myself at under $10k monthly for ATO spend. I have spent over $10k for my monthly business rent and still awarded points.

Didnt you hear? The application department is now run by CitiBank! :D

How on earth does sick leave have any bearing on a cc application

No bearing at all in my view. St George seem to be giving me the run around. Will be 7 days since I applied tomorrow and no sign of receiving the card.

They sure are making me work for my 30,000 points.

Sounds like they sure are, will be worth it in the end.
