Just curious. As your bonus points posted in 21-22 business days, did you pay your card balance in advance or was the balance still owing at the time of said points postage?

Is there someone competent I can talk to at st George?

They requested bank statement showing the last 2 months to see my income. And the person I am dealing with over the phone assumed I'm self employed because I have multiple source of income.
I have been arguing with the same person for a week now that I have multiple part time jobs and have no ABN but he doesn't want to understand and keep requesting bank statement of all my businesses...
I have already sent my bank statements and Notice of assessment from 2019 which they have rejected because FY2019 is too old for them...

My refinancing is almost complete after chopping a whole bunch of cards earlier, I am ready to get another credit card again.

For this deal, has anyone applied via Bank of Melbourne or BankSA offer instead of St. George? Do you need to go to a branch for verification etc? Whilst I live in Sydney and should apply through St George, and have already cleared 12 months exclusion period, I like the credit card design of the other banks better.

I think all 3 names are now just Westpac business names so just take your pick. We went St George purely because they have one branch in Perth city whereas the other two are not in WA.

All three should have the same backend evaluation process. I found (all 3 of) them some of the harshest banks when it comes to extending credit: I have quite a decent income, no dependent, not-a-huge mortgage, not much liabilities, and pristine credit history. I got knocked back by them a couple of times, before approving my last application about a year later (with no changes in my circumstances).

Yes my favourite eldest son had his application run into a deep freeze probably in the Philippines.They could not understand his tax return income some of which was not from his salary. Finally was approved based purely on salary.
My youngest sons partner had her application sail straight thru to yes in a short time and same for my SIL.
It can be a minefield if you get selected for special freezing In the Philippines and I remember talking to a supervisor more than twice.

Yes Cove ,Mrscove and Mastercove had to visit the St George PERTH branch when our IDs were being checked.

I cannot honestly remember if I visited a St George branch in person, or had my ID checked at the post office.

On a related note, for my Bankwest credit card I know I had to visit the post office for ID check (Bankwest does not have any branch where I live).
