Did said dentist take Amex? I doubt it. Despite the incredibly high margins in private health, the specialists never seem to accept Amex.
In my experience with looking at the numbers of medical specialists, but also some dental specialists that you refer to, "incredibly high margins" could not be further from the truth. Low and high billing businesses, too.
What percentage range of margins were you thinking?

Just checking as got this card and last my comments in March.....Bonus points have to be requested out into Velocity account right?
How many do I get 50K?

Amplify points halve as they transfer to Velocity or Kris so if you have 100 000 Amplify points you would have 50,000 Velocity points. Do make sure you put those points into an account where you are planning to do a booking as you lose so much doing a second transfer from say Velocity to say Kris Miles. I think you divide your 50,000 by 1.55 if you do a second move.

Now after having this card for 8-9 months I requested a limit increase.

They want closure letters on my previous cards which I only closed this month and pay slips..jeez

I haven’t bothered changing our modest credit card limits. I can BPay $100,000 every couple of minutes into our cards but these payments take a day longer than expected to arrive from Westpac to St George.
I don’t have a pay slip so that keeps our payroll tax bill just a bit less.

Have applied for amplify signature. Approved conditionally with 35k limit. Have subsequently sent Tax assessment and bank accounts. There was a problem with ICS? No due to having had a loan with them many moons ago which got resolved by popping into a branch. Another text this morning asking us to call . Fingers crossed! The clock is ticking on current bonus but I’ll be happy just to have this card in my wallet.

With limited limits....what method are you using to pay larger bills? do you preload your credit card or are you using the card and then clearing debt repeatedly?
