Status credits - Pls explain

I wonder if it could be argued though, that as technically as a Silver member, you should have "in credit" the SC's of silver being 300 (or 350), and therefore only need the extra 400 for gold!!

Yes, I initially had this thought. But the condition does say you need 600 or 700 SCs to get gold, it doesn't say you need Silver + 300 or 400 SCs.

really it is pretty clear. Unfortunately.
