To those who have a HSBC Premier account, does the trick of transferring 9k in / out to maintain the Premier status still work?

Given that Qatar (the state) harbours a certain terror organisation I am no longer interested to fly the airline.

Not sure if they'll accept an ITIN. Never applied for a Cardless card before. Should be fairly easy to check by going through the application.

Doesn't look like they accept ITIN.

yes...been working for me for over an year now...quick in and out using OSKO.

Make sure the out part is done via the app though, HSBC are bloody awful in implementing fast payments, so doing it via OLB send it the old, slow way.

I don't think it's required.. I got my ITIN 6 + years ago and never filed a tax return, still works fine.

As far as I know, one's ITIN remains assigned to the individual who obtained it, unless it is revoked. It only requires "renewal" if you will be lodging a US tax return. See here: US IRS ITIN Expiration FAQs.

Wow it's surprisingly easy for me. Been with AU Amex for 12 years, requested relocating to US (Amex Everyday card), entered US relative's mobile number and home address, called +1 866 929 5160 and got approved straight away. No ITIN no SSN or bank account at all.

Wow. I tried since Jan, still no luck, they keep rejecting me or asking for 3 month bank statement or tax return v.v. I m lost confused with Amex.

Try calling this number +1 866 929 5160 and ready to confirm your name and address. I had same issue but calling this number didn't ask for any bank statement or any bills approved straight way.

If they asked for tax returns, most likely you applied normally using ITIN and also no credit score?
