Strategy to obtain US Amex

Good news. However, that sounds like the normal process. Global Transfer is based on the relationship with Amex in Oz. ITIN/SSN is not required for this.
Yeah I just always assumed you needed it, for some reason. Wish I’d tried earlier as I’ve been dealing with Amex AUs gutting my earn rate.

If you have under 4 Chase Ink cards (all varieties) currently open, you shouldn't encounter any additional difficulties in getting approved for another compared to getting approved for any other Chase card. If you get approved for the card, you will get the SUB.
Would a GT count toward 5/24?

I can confirm they entered date of entry as NA. For foreign address they just entered "Australia" no further address details.

So far I've been impressed with Maza. They are fast to respond to any questions, and they seem to be knowledgeable. Documents were sent for approval by IRS on July 19.

Hey thanks, this is super helpful. I am currently using an address in California through ipostal1, and their shipping options are extremely limited. Either $6 USPS international first class, $105 USPS priority international or UPS Express for $145. Looks like I need to switch addresses once more.
when did you submit the docs with Maza? and how long it take them to submit to IRS.

How did you get maza gps verification to work for you ?
I used a GPS spoofer app on my phone (Android). There are many available in the appstore.

Not sure if I should bite the bullet and do another address change. Already got flagged by Amex after changing from MyUS to planetexpress. They wanted address verification but I argued I had 5 longs years relationship with AMEX and already did address verification many years ago, they can send to my old address if they want and then somehow they approved my card without the address verification.
Do I understand correct that you got flagged for address verification after changing your address online? If so, I'll probably hold off from changing to a new address to save a few $ 😄

Initally submitted July 4, however I made a mistake in one of the documents so that took a few days to correct. Final submit on July 16 and sent to IRS on july 18

Thanks! Just applied and instant approved for 2nd CIP. 1st time I've been instant approved by Chase!

12K AUD in 3 months...

I got my Hilton AMEX 3 months ago but still haven't get my FICO score, how long normally take to generate FICO score?

Any recommendations for next cards?

Currently at 3/24. A few options, Venture (not pre-approved), Amex Hilton (Surpass/Normal) assuming no PUJ, Citi Strata, CIU/CBP. I'm thinking about Aeroplan but these are the cards I currently hold:

  • Amex Green
  • Amex Biz Gold
  • Amex Aspire
  • Amex Biz Marriot Bonvoy
  • Chase Biz IHG
  • CSP
  • CIC
  • CIP
Wouldn't mind Hyatt either but the SUB is pretty awful.
For Chase, what's your timeline applying for their cards if you don't mind sharing.

Thanks

My residential address with HSBC US is currently my AU address and my mailing address my US address. I now also have a credit card with them. Will it cause problems with future cc applications (e.g., chase) if my HSBC US address remains at my AU address (not sure what gets reported on my credit file)?

I'm not 100% sure but I reckon residential address will be reported. However if you are worry, why dont you change it for peace of mind. I would not risk it and complicate the report.

Don't mine me asking, what sort of letters generally doesn't have PMB numbers on them and from which bank?

Just want to check what will be missed if I stay with Planetexpress.
1 or 2 from Amex without PMB but 80% mails from Amex I have PMB number on line Address 2, 2 from HSBC without PMB.

I've just moved to my new address and have bitten the bullet and re-applied with C1. I've got the following message:

Has anyone else experienced this in applying with C1 and what can I expect next? I haven't received my email yet - hoping it's not a letter by snail mail.

All DPs appreciated :)

Appears I was a little hasty in my post. Have received an email from C1. They wanted me to upload my US govt issued ID specifically drivers license. I don’t have one of those. Uploaded a copy of my AU passport (even though that was on the list of excluded ID and a covering letter explaining I don’t have a drivers license in view of where I live.

For members of this thread who got to ‘yes’ with C1 what did you need to supply?

I applied for one of their low end credit cards last year, and i just gave them a copy of my passport and ITIN letter.
