Strategy to obtain US Amex

I can't enter my Amex Green card to my Paypal nz account. It won't accept my US zipcode, says it's incorrect. Has anyone had this happen and what to do here? TIA
NB was able to add it to my amazon account.

I've added both my amex cards into my Paypal au account. I don't think they check the address cause I noticed one of the amex card has the billing set to my au address and I have been using it with no issues all this time.

What are your goals?

IHG personal card has an all time high SUB of 5 FNCs if you think you'll get use from them.
Aeroplan is a must-have if you're generating excess UR and need to cash out, otherwise isn't all that special.
Surpass' SUB isn't bad. Even more valuable if you'll easily and cheaply meet the $15K spend for the FNC.
CIU isn't worth it unless it is purely for the SUB.
I'd hold off on the Strata in case they release the Elite version.

If you're looking for the biggest bang for your buck, I'd get another CIP with its current 120K SUB or an Amex Biz Plat if you can find the 250K/$15K SUB offer.

No real aspirations at the moment. Looking to collect long term cards that have tangible benefits like FNC.

Noted about the Strata. Are there any issues/things to be aware of for a 2nd CIP with an ITIN? I've read some conflicting messages about a 2nd CIP being difficult to be approved for and sometimes not being eligible for the SUB?

If you have under 4 Chase Ink cards (all varieties) currently open, you shouldn't encounter any additional difficulties in getting approved for another compared to getting approved for any other Chase card. If you get approved for the card, you will get the SUB.

Just signed up for an ITIN with them. Painless automated process so far and a very reasonable price. I'll report back when I have a result in a couple months.
Can you check if in your ITIN application by maza the date of entry in the US is stated as NA?

ITIN arrived at 10.5 weeks via SHStudio on Fiverr
What reason did SHStudio state in your ITIN application? Was it exception 1c (mentioned under option H)? and is the Date of entry into US (on line 6d) mentioned as NA?

oops sorry my bad, didnt read carefully thought you were asking about vpn.

I saw Maza but could not find any DP hence I went with SH Studio for peace of mind, But initially I was attracted by Maza low fee as well but didnt want to risk for more hassle. Just applied for P2 a week ago with SH Studio and again a smooth process, waiting for ITIN.

I did it with the sh studio on fiverr and they ticked the same box. (Box H other)

I guess getting an ITIN will basically put you in as a tax resident. Regardless of which box you tick. Ie have to file tax returns.

Interesting about Maza, it looks like a much cheaper option for only $49 USD and it looks like you also get a USA interest earning bank account?

Let me know your experience with it and how long it takes. It looks at least more secure than Fiverr which is just an online marketplace like eBay. Would've experimented with them if I knew about the option.
Does SH Studio state date of entry (on line 6d) as NA?

For those who applied for your ITIN - what box did you tick (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf)? Was it the one where you said you were a nonresident filing a tax return and went on to file one? Or was it that Box H other and there was some other exception?

As a data point for those thinking about using Maza
a) It requires you to enable an in-app subscription to the service commencing next year in addition to the 49USD already paid - which means you'll need a US CC for the App Store to place a hold for said subscription
b) Requires you to geolocate to your listed US address - i.e. will need to fake your GPS location
c) Files a W7 under Criteria H - Other - 'Exception 1C Individual who is resident alien for tax purposes and opened an interest bearing bank deposit account'

C is the problem I'm dealing with at this stage as being a tax resident there comes with a few implications and I'm wondering how the others filed for their ITINs?
Did Maza put the Date of entry into US (on line 6d) as NA?

I can confirm they entered date of entry as NA. For foreign address they just entered "Australia" no further address details.

So far I've been impressed with Maza. They are fast to respond to any questions, and they seem to be knowledgeable. Documents were sent for approval by IRS on July 19.

Someone was asking the price for forwarding letters to Australia add with US Global Mail
1 pic is for 1 and 1 pic is for 5 letter
Hey thanks, this is super helpful. I am currently using an address in California through ipostal1, and their shipping options are extremely limited. Either $6 USPS international first class, $105 USPS priority international or UPS Express for $145. Looks like I need to switch addresses once more.

Amex shipped another card to my planet express address and I've purposely included the suite number on the address line 1 to ensure that it gets included when the card is mailed out. (I've also updated the addresses in my profile to include the suite number in line 1 as well).
But from the tracking amex still managed to somehow remove the suite number.

Its no big deal since I can have it sent internationally anyway. Just not reassuring because more important letters could be missed in the future and I don't think having all the cards/letter returned to sender/amex with a planet express stamp will be a good thing long term. (They mentioned that they don't destroy the letters but return to sender if not assigned)

I've been reading DP of US global mail being received. Does amex somehow include the suite numbers (PMB number) for US Global Mail addresses or does US global mail have another method to assign the letter even without the PMB number?

Another DP for you guys, I applied for the Marriott Brilliant 1 month after the Hilton using GT and was approved, think once you have a FICO score you can sign up for as many cards as you want through GT as long as you follow the general amex card rules. I've also read that you can apply for business cards over the phone without an ITIN. (I've tried to apply for the Hilton business over the phone but was PUJed and didn't go ahead with the application)

Multiple times I got mails without PMB numbers on them. Including Amex, sometimes on Amex letters I saw PMB numbers.

Just got approved for a personal plat USA Amex... no ITIN, SSN or anything.

Just put a postal forwarding address, AU passport, and asked for a global transfer. Took about 5 minutes all up and apparently it's coming in the post tomorrow.

Will report back if this is even real... lol
Which postal forwarding address ?

Hmm thats great, sounds like they can assign by name as well.

Not sure if I should bite the bullet and do another address change. Already got flagged by Amex after changing from MyUS to planetexpress. They wanted address verification but I argued I had 5 longs years relationship with AMEX and already did address verification many years ago, they can send to my old address if they want and then somehow they approved my card without the address verification.

Don't mine me asking, what sort of letters generally doesn't have PMB numbers on them and from which bank?

Just want to check what will be missed if I stay with Planetexpress.

There’s really no need to be worried too much about the details. The CAA of your choice will do all of this for you.
