Strategy to obtain US Amex

I’ll find out later, I honestly don’t know why they haven’t called me to verify it’s me.
I have a personal card from them since last year and have (obviously) applied with same ITIN and same personal details for a business one.

Called them back and it obviously was my own application.
Was asked to upload copy of passport and utility bill.
Then a few mins later someone else from Chase Fraud called me to verify the documents I just uploaded.

Happy ending - approved!

BTW their system failed to send a verification text to my prepaid t-mobile SIM… I knew this would fail on TextNow but I was expecting t-mobile to work!

Interesting. Is that usual? I have a t-mobile pre-paid (as a back-up for any texts) as I’ve had issues with Amex texts to TextNow.

No idea, I thought t-mobile prepaid worked with Chase but apparently it doesn’t.
Let’s see if others can provide more data points.

An Amex statement.

I also have a Chase checking account and credit card, they told me I could have used those too.

I was going to ask why we went through this process again if I’m already a customer, but I reckon the answer would be this is my first business product with them. Or luck of the draw

I've gotten some of the accounts back up. I'll update here if anyone is interested by the end of prime and after none of my packages were lost

Yeah, I maxed out all my Citi cards, which were the main ones I'm trying to generate spend on atm. So many Apple Watches! There was an incident with a lot of them going missing a few months back, so will be interesting to see how they go this time around.

I didn't get caught up in that episode, so no idea how it was resolved. In general, BG has a policy of reimbursing for lost packages. You're on your own to fight it with the retailer/credit card company with other groups like BFMR.

For those that used US Global Mail, what was your secondary ID document? I think I read somewhere here in this thread you could just use your AU mortgage statement, even though it doesn't show a US address?

Yes. You can use something like Australia statements, car insurance v.v. I just done last month.

So, it’s probably you (your most recent application)? Could Chase be that useless?

They mailed a letter to me saying just that. I didn’t get it forwarded until it was too late and they’d already cancelled my application. Not sure what trips the potential fraud warning for them but sounds like it’s quite common for us ‘Aliens’.

I think this is due to the recent AT&T cyber breach for losing 100 Million customer records in April 24. So many are under the microscope.

TMobile with Chase has never worked for me. Always have/had to go through the QnA for auth

I wonder if anyone knows how to update/correct ITIN with Equifax/Experian/Transunion please. I registered with equifax and noticed its still had old my personal address listed, and most importantly ITIN was not correct. I only got my ITIN early this year, and used it once for my amex business card only.
I am guessing this is the main reason (incorrect itin on credit file) was the main reason that i got rejected with chase credit card 2 months ago.
Any help would be appreciated!

You pay about a 4% margin looking at the current exchange rate of 0.67. But if you maximise the offer, you are getting 20% back (plus whatever points you earn).

I guess you need to contact/call them, I have been contacting them. They are helpful and will guide you next step. My change of address recently got my file into some issues, hence reaching out to them. Takes time to get it corrected
