After some of your inspiration last month, I have done about US$12k so far after I did little bits over the last couple of months.

I just everything is delivered. It actually takes more time then I had expected with multiple accounts, etc
Yep, by no means easy, especially as you scale up. The fun really gets going once you start getting lost/stolen packages!

How do you even order that much?

I've did a test order using amazon with bfmr last month, my order got cancelled immediately with account locked and requesting for additional details. Sent details and ordered again. Order got cancelled and account locked again.
I have a huge gift card balance in my AU account so didn't want to risk it and created a new account. That account got locked almost immediately as well.

Online reading says you need an established account with deliveries to your home address first. (That will be difficult for us in Aust to do).

Just need to start slow. I have a personal and biz account in the US now (with about 3 different email addresses).

best tip I got to start out was whatever card you plan on using for your US one, link it to your AU account and make a couple of purchases. Then use that same card for new purchases in the US (with the same email address).

GCs make it a little tricker, but never do BGs with GCs

I’m moving to Manhattan. I’ve tested out the address with C1 and it didn’t spit the dummy for a CC application so I’ll try this & see where it goes.

I couldn’t get a handle on forwarding costs though. I’ll have to suck it and see I guess.
How long have you had the new address for before applying with C1? Are you registering the new address with existing Amex and Chase accounts and waiting for it to report or simply signing up for new address and applying for C1 cards straight away. I'm also looking to expand beyond Amex and Chase and thinking I might also have to move away from Sarasota to achieve this.

Hi haven’t moved to the new address yet.
I’m waiting for it to register then I’ll do the USPS compliance. Might be an idea to wait until HSBC issues a statement with the new address on it … just in case. Though DP shared earlier suggests that’s not necessarily. I’m planning to apply for C1 as soon as for 1583 is sorted out assuming they don’t hold previous account closures against me.

Hi all, can someone please help advise:
I applied for us amex gold card and was approved yesterday, I received the "accept your card" email. but have not clicked it yet.
Once I click accept, do they automatically send my card to the US address provided? Is there any way I can get them to post the card to Australia instead? If yes how?

ps. thanks for all the previous posts, learned a lot.

Received letter from Chase asking for a w-9 form on Friday, replied and faxed it on the same day.
Today they’ve replied saying they believe someone’s stolen my identity and applied for a card 😂

Will have to give them a call later…

So, it’s probably you (your most recent application)? Could Chase be that useless?
I’ll find out later, I honestly don’t know why they haven’t called me to verify it’s me.
I have a personal card from them since last year and have (obviously) applied with same ITIN and same personal details for a business one.

Hi mate, can I ask how you got Chase to look at the documents live over the phone? I’ve applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve card twice and both times the card got closed after being approved and issued due to some ID verification issues as can’t get to the branch to ID with my ITIN. It’s getting frustrating given the second time it’s happened 🤦‍♂️. Thanks in advance.
Hey, it definitely required persistence. I initially got an email asking me to upload documents. After calling them, they told me they needed more documents like the letter with my ITIN. Then I got a further email saying the document didn't meet their standards. I called them again and asked the person to look at it over the phone to make sure the document was okay (this was on the 3rd call) and they did this and also said they managed to get the card approved in the one call. I do think it's a bit of luck. I tried a second application for the CSP and it got stuck at the identity verification stage and rejected (despite applying online through my chase account!)
