Are you worried about being trapped with Aeroplan points only? Lack of flexibility and etc.

No, not at all, Aeroplan has the most airline partners and my most travel airlines are SingaporeAir, Eva Air, United, Emirates and Qantas.
With Aeroplan points I can redeem for these airlines except Qantas (I have Qantas cards, so no worries), for Emirates Flights redemption, I always use Aeroplan points for less points and much cheaper tax than using Qantas points.

and if I feel I am trapped with Aeroplan points, I can always use the Pay Yourself Back feature on this card, which I can redeem 1 point for 1.25 cents on travel purchases.

my new favourite card is Aeroplan Chase with 100k SUB, this card is the hidden charm and I am almost afraid to share.

It's not a bad card, but I don't love the maths on it.

You need to spend $20K to get 40K of that 100K SUB.

With that same $20K spend, you could get two Amex Biz Golds for 220K MR (130K for the first & 90K for the second).

Or 3 Inks for 225K UR (75K * 3).

I'd take 220K MR for $590USD or 225K UR for $540USD (the 3% FTF) over 100K AP for $99USD, but I guess it depends on how much you fly.

If you only need 100K AP, it's okay. I need way more than that.

And if you can't meet the MSR for the Biz Golds or the Inks, I can see how the Aeroplan card makes sense. You can spread that $20K over an entire year.

But I’ll be honest the prospect of another 100 pages is probably beyond me, given that I suspect I already know the answer.

So, I’ll cut to the chase. Is there any prospect of me getting a Chase card without either an ITIN or SSN?

Sadly i think you have zero chance of getting a Chase card without an ITIN / SSN.

For anyone able to access Chase, the new Bonvoy offer is brilliant: 5x 50K free night certificates!! I don't even like Marriott (very poor credit card to Bonvoy conversions), but I'm considering it.

Thanks. I actually have an HSBC account in the UK using the Premier option. They wouldn’t give me a credit card but I guess the credit rating system is more like Australia than the US

Are you suggesting I can get premier CC without US credit history or ITIN? My ITIN application is currently under process.
I'm also thinking of getting the HSBC Star Alliance card in AU to get SA Gold. Hope that doesn't have any impact.

Yeah pretty good offer.
I got the Amex Bevy earlier in the year for 125k SUB and 50k certificate after spending US$15k. Pretty helpful for my upcoming trip but in hindsight should have gone for Brilliant but 650 fee for the my first US card was a bit too much. Will get it anyways later down the line or might diversify to collect some Hilton.

I had to change my HSBC US address to MYUS to get the Amex cards. Do I change in back to the AU address for the HSBC?

I assume it is this card: HSBC Elite Credit Card - HSBC Bank USA

The fee is a lot at $395 for 50k points vs the other card at 35k bonus points for $0

I ended up getting HSBC Expat which is HSBC UK in the Channel Islands. Got HSBC UK CC that way - had UK Premier but the rule was nbo CC for foreigners but Expat can do it. Can't see it or pay it via Expat Internet banking - interested in how to do it as my query to Expat went unanswered.

I agree, ther CC is pretty average and has 3% currency conversion.
