Strategy to obtain US Amex

Still struggling to find info RE applying for an ITIN. Will go through SH Studio on Fiverr. For the address did you put your Aus address or do we need to put a local US address (?). Will MyUS then forward letters on?

I've just applied today. They ask for both your Australian and US address. The US address is optional.

They noted that the itin form will be mailed to your US address and in addition they will also scan and email a copy they receive. (So I guess the copy mailed to the US address isn't important)

If you do apply, let me know if they messaged you in chinese or if its just me cause I have a chinese name.

When I applied for my ITIN, I have my friend's US Address so the letter got sent there and when I applied for any things they asked for proof of address I have that ITIN with that US Address on the letter. I reckon it's important to have the right address, and It helped a lot in identifying me too.
However now that I am about to apply for P2 and I dont want to use previous US address of my friend I am considering for the letter to be sent to my Australia Address but not sure still if it's possible and Should I do that . So looking forward to hear more about this matter from experience people.

SH Studio/ Fiver will provided you with all of the answers needed in applying for an ITIN.

The US address can probably be the CAA (SH Studio/ Fiver) for the time being. From memory, my CAA did this (not SH Studio or Fiverr)

One thing I do regret is uploading my passport on Fiverr. Looks like it's going to be on there permanently now and I only just renewed my passport.

Should've done it before I renewed.

Talking about passport copies, I’ve lost track of how many hotels have taken a copy at check-in, while travelling overseas.

Once again Chase provides great customer service.
13 June Ink Cash instantly approved, called to get it sent to Australia
15 June card arrives in UPS Botany, Sydney on flight from HNL
17 June card arrives in Brisbane
18 June card delivered

Not sure if any other US bank delivers cards so promptly. Amex makes you wait 10 days from card being issued. I don't think Citi or Cap One even deliver to Australia at all,

Has anyone received this email? I have 2x Biz Gold:

"We hope you’ve enjoyed the benefits of your American Express® Business Gold Card. You are now qualified to apply for the Corporate Card Program to take advantage of the exclusive offerings it provides. As your Account Management team, we can walk through all the ways this program can help xx_X reach its goals."

Was wondering can you call to get your first ever Chase card sent to Aus or is it only from your second card?
I am in a somewhat different situation from most people here. I was born a US citizen and have a long history with Chase. Others on here have developed a history with Chase over time. I am not sure if they will send the first card overseas or not. But once you are well established with them, Chase is a breeze to deal with as long as you are under 5/24.

Regarding the 5/24 rule - are Chase cards that good that you want to prioritise them over anything else? Or is it the case that you want to churn through the Chase cards now as you'll be blocked from them later on?

A bit of both.

If you stay under 5/24, you can churn Chase Ink cards, which are incredibly lucrative.

Chase has access to Hyatt as a transfer partner, which is the highest value hotel transfer partner in the game.

And Chase has such a huge portfolio of cards with attractive brands/earning ratios, so people want to maintain access to them.

Airfare for the ED wish gift cards, so $100 is 400 QF + 198 MR at the current offer.

And the QF points post quickly too. Last day tomorrow (20/6) as a reminder for anyone interested. I've done about $1k total, a nice bonus for something I'll use fairly quickly.

I don't really like holding big stacks of GCs, I've done $3k Apple cards before on the 20x offer, but that's about my limit.

I got the surpass, but I don't think there's any benefit in it and will eventually downgrade. If you're staying at hilton every quarter, you're better off using the Aspire anyway.

In hindsight I probably should have gone with the aspire. I didn't take into account the night cert, extra travel and hilton resort credit. That will have covered the additional annual fee for the first year.
I've got the Aspire too, it was my first US card! But the Surpass currently comes with 130k + 1x free night, also a free night on 15k spend (as opposed to 30k & 60k) on the Aspire - so any normal spending (3x HH points) on that one and multiplier spend (airfare/car rental 7x, Hilton 14x) on the Aspire. I can use the Hilton credit from both plus the airfare credit from Aspire, so don't mind having both too much. The resort credit only on Aspire adds an extra hurdle, but there's Fiji and NZ nearby, plus a few in Asia - I haven't failed to use it yet.

Green is one of the better ones for travel especially, I think - disregarding the 60k SUB and 20% up to $200 back on travel spend, then hotels/travel (including the ALL Signature monthly fee), car parking, trains, transit, restaurants, etc. all earning 3x MR make it a good all rounder (especially when I can buy gift cards from QF, as they count as airfare).

Gold earns 4x MR on restaurants and 3x on airfare, so not sure it's a keeper long term (but SUB 75k and 20% back up to $250 on restaurant spend is good), but I'll keep it for now anyway.

Thank you for sharing your experience, I just signed up for US Global but not used it yet for any cards and still finding the idea of asking Amex to resend the card oversea overwhelming, worrying. So looking forward to hear everyone experience until I am ready for it.
What happened to those letters with cards that they received for everyone here?

Also question on my mind, I have not yet changed the address on Amex or Cap1 to US Global address. Will it be ok to keep it as my previous address where I applied for the cards and just get USPS to forward all my mail to US Global address?

Am I overthinking/paranoid?
I wouldn't worry about it. After leaving the 10 days, you don't even need to change the address, just need to ask them for a new card to be sent to you overseas. I've been using Planet Express, not a single letter, card or anything has turned up, allegedly, even when tracked/signed for and with the suite definitely listed in the address. So it's the same every time, in my case.

Their phone CS are really helpful, as long as you have either one of your other physical cards on you (as they ask for a CSC), or your US phone number to hand (so they can send you a security code). Their live chat is useless in this respect, but the phone CS are great.

Just FYI, a card from Amex has arrived at my suite but as expected, no suite number on my mail.

Would it be a Courier-delivered card?

This was First Class USPS. My previous experiences with even courier delivered cards were questionable. Last time there was a suite # scribbled on the address. Not sure if it was Amex or the forwarder.
