Strategy to obtain US Amex

I have been using them for 3-4 months straight only for this purpose.

I transfer ~25k a month through it and no issues yet
Looking at IBKR options - to setup money to go into a US AMEX Checking (or other accounts) is this setup correct

IBKR

Withdraw
ACH Withdrawal in USD
Link Routing and Account number with US Amex Checking Routing and Account number

As stated, 1 free transfer per month ($1 otherwise) and takes 3 days to transfer

Thanks

Yes my ITIN letter had the SH Studios address (they were the ones who did my ITIN)
I actually got 2 versions of lettter - 1 with USA address posted to SH Studios and the other one posted to my house in Australia
Sorry, when you say US do you mean SH studios US address or your own US address?

Did you get three letters in total?

2 letters in total

My name
SH Studios address in US
That was emailed to me by SH Studios

Copy of letter posted to my home months later (they had Austria instead of Australia)

My names
My Australian postal address

632 didn’t :(
If you really want an Amex, Apply for an low end hotel card of choice to be safe (Hilton Basic or Marriott Basic). You could got for the Green card too. There is no harm in apply directly without Global transfer as OH has a SSN. Amex is very relaxed as long as her credit file does not have missed payment or forclosures.

Yep I said she should get the Amex Everyday and build the score back up. But they rejected her too. So it looks like it’s off to capital one for her!

Is anyone willing to share how their US global mail address in HSBC and/or Maza looks? In mine, the apt number is before the word "APT" (so it is 123 APT instead of APT 123). Probably overthinking it, probably won't be a problem.

Interestingly since I got the Amex Checking approved now when I log into Amex USA account I need to do a verification on my phone every time stated that it is me logging in
not sure of this is a new security update or if it is related to having a checking account

In terms of funding it I have done a $100 test transfer from Wise - I did it as a bank wire using ACH and it seems to have gone though from the Wise point of view. Ultimately will probably use IBKR as best rate but I needed to setup a new IBKR in my name as my wifes one did not link with Amex as it flagged up as a different user name

Applied for Platinum Charge Card - found a clean link for 150K points sign up bonus. Suggested that 175K was possible but most were 80-125K so figured that 150K was a good bonus to go for.

Completed the application and didn't put in my GT details but used my ITIN and 13 month history with Amex
Received an email requesting info
Called - they wanted my ITIN number and to confirm I was not military
I had to email Military confirmation, ITIN and Passport
Awaiting verdict

Curiosity, if you get a PUJ application is that blocked instantly? What does the notification say?

Alright might apply for a Hilton or Bonvoy basic card to start with Nova Credit. Does anyone know if our supermarkets code for the bonus points as well or are they strict about *US* supermarkets only?

Generally the cards that are limited to US supermarkets don't bonus at overseas supermarkets.
