I’d say you’re Premier then…..

Plus that is the Premier specific number

were you able to do this immediately when opening your accounts in Oz or did you have to move money through your accounts for 6 months with $9k
That is the rule for HSBC, yes.

Like with wverything, there is a human element involved. With some agents you can just say "trust me bro" and they will make you premier immediately. Others, understandably, will not and you need to do the 9k transfers for 6 months.

Back when i qualified in 2020 or so the criteria was to have $200 k in your account for a few months or so . I could apply once I was upgraded .

OK so just called - seemed I was not a premier status but my joint account was so she is upgrading my personal one - not sure why I wasn't seen as Premier as I thought when have joint account both of you become premier

Hopefully that goes through in the next day or so and then I can get a US premier checking account opened as well

Agree with @pyramidforce - human element seemed to work for me here - others may be more strict about the 6 month time limit

DP - If having trouble getting upgraded - I had a personal account and then applied as a joint one with wife and it seemed that one was upgraded immediately as one of us was a known HSBC customer - may work for someone else again in future

did you need to attend a branch to open the joint after setting individual up originally? When i try to open through internet banking it says need to go to branch.

I did try last night to open a joint premier account as new clients (she is new at least) and it's now pending, didn't ask for photos if ID like the individual application did. hoping i haven't blown myself up.

Joint online not in branch

I feel thats exactly what I did - sorry can't remember exactly but I had to put my details first and then her details second and then ran through complete application
Just looked it up and I did

Apply for Premier
Top line said - switch to Joint application
ID according to DL or passport
and then went through my basic details then wife's basic details

I just followed that page

I applied for a Barclays Hawaiian card (70k miles) and they have asked me to fax Bank statement and Passport. Anyone use any online service that is reliable to fax?

Barclays now accepts ITIN which is how I was able to apply

I got that one too although they only gave $1k limit which was annoying.

Applied for a Chase Sapphire Preferred - got through to the applications / verifications team. They required an OTP but Talkatone did not work, they ended up calling me back to do the verification which worked out fine. Shortly after I got an email requesting for further documents - ITIN, passport, utility bill which I uploaded via their portal.. They verified the documents and was told 1-2 weeks for a decision! Fingers crossed

Goodluck
Are you using utility bill or a bank statement for verification

I used my US HSBC premier statement which finally worked! I didn't realise that you need to do a transaction each month to generate a statement. Also just need to have postal address as the myUS address for it to reflect properly on the HSBC statement

Thanks - have been approved for Premier today so hope to get the application in over weekend

I applied for the Amex Gold card and was approved instantly. I used a referral to get 100k MR SUB with 20% back on dining up to $100. They give you the card number immediately as well which is nice, you can then add it to your account and to Google/Apple Pay instantly.

I wanted to add an AU and get the card sent here - anyone know if it's possible to get the AU card sent overseas or is the process the same as the primary card? i.e. wait 10 days and then ask for a replacement card.
