Strategy to obtain US Amex

With the Uber Credit - can it be applied to anyones account - I was planning on US trip in July but that needs to be deferred so if can be transferred and someone is going - I was testing it out and indeed as @djchuckles has verified it is only in USA. I hopefully have a second one coming in on another account (although no credit yet from Amex) - if I do I will try and transfer to someone who can use it
Its annoying they let you know the conditions after it is applied

Any payment processed by the hotel itself, including flexible rate (pay on arrival) room charges and charges to your room account during your stay (inc spa, restaurant, bar, transfers, etc) where the property allows for those to be settled at check out.

Note that booking prepaid rates through Hilton.com are not eligible by the T&C for this benefit, however in practice Hilton properties in Japan process the transaction themselves and do trigger this credit on prepaid rates.

If I pay for an airfare say on the Qantas or Virgin Australian website, will I qualify for this statement credit?

Yes. Qantas Wine also counts, and others have reported gift cards from Qantas Marketplace do too.

Hi all - please advise

1st Attempt with Citi in Oct 2024- rejected with no credit history reported by Equifax
2nd Attempt with Citi in Feb 2025 - rejected with same reason.

However, I do have paid Account with Equifax and seeing all my Credit account/Score/ History - personal information is correct as well.

What's wrong here and what course of Action should I take please if you have any lead on what to do.

Tried calling Equifax - cant get thru as wait time is too long.

Not necessarily, Amex will credit for multiple transactions up to a total of $50 per quarter.

Just adding to this, DPs from others that most Hiltons outside of US/Canada are billed by hotels so pre purchase rates SHOULD work at non US hotels.

Close to Australia, there is Surfers Hilton, Queenstown Hilton, Conrad Bali, Hilton Pattaya, Doubletree Penang, Hilton Tokyo Bay, some random Hilton about 1hr or south of Tokyo

Hey I was approved for CSP early Feb, card only arrived at friends in USA yesterday (after the first one didn't show I got replacement via ups) and he sent me photos of it so I activated / verified it over the phone. I have made some successful purchases with the card number online. However I have been unsuccessful whilst using it on my samsung wallet to tap with my phone. Have others had issues using Chase cards from their digital phone wallets? I can ask my friend to post me the physical card if this will be an issue.

They can be a bit annoying for digital. Maybe get your friend to make a few transactions with the physical card and then try again via digital wallet
