Strategy to obtain US Amex

Awesome Ty so happy that i found this forum with all helpful info. If mod can pls pin all step how to get US card on 1st page so make it easy for ppl want to get in this game

I think that’s the point. There’s no cheat sheet nor linear path to follow. The best tip here for anyone is to read the entire thread.

1. I am planning to open Business Checking Account. I am curious about how be go about this in relation to Tax in US. Isnt that any money go into BIz Account will count towards Income? Is there a pro and con in your experience/opinion in relation to opening Biz Checking Account.
2. EIN - Where should I start please?

If have Amex and ITIN can open business checking with them. @djchuckles has one I believe - I think fairly easily to open. That is as a sole trader and don’t need EIN

Pros and Cons sorry couldn’t give you a detailed explanation - I would just open it if I was getting a cash or point bonus for it or to help establish a relationship with a bank

For me it would be no different in use compared to a personal one

I am sharing my experience hoping will benefit someone,
also Love to hear more on how to maximize U.S cards after SUB in Australia - Because most cards have better Cat Bonus in U.S - and not applicable in Australia.

I have a few U.S cards (personal and Biz), This is how I see the Bonus Cat works for my cards in Australia - They are my wallet cards and in P2 wallet is HSBC US

1. HSBC US- free version: 3x on Supermarket(Coles/WW/IGA) + 3x on Petrol - Netflix charge for $5 rebate - Also, Receive some kinds of rebate from transactions at Coles and WW as well - not much but got over U.S$3 back 2 times this month. Not sure how and why.
for this one - it just worths it IMO that points to transfer to Avios or Qantas - A lot better than using any Qantas Credit cards because most my spending is Grocery shopping and Petrol. Other bills do not qualify for any Cat Bonus.
2. Chase SP: 3x on Online Supermarket + 3x on Dining if the places dont take Amex, 2x on Travel (Qantas marketplace to buy Giftcards) or booking any hotels/Flights/Rideshares.
3. Amex Gold: 4x on Dining - limited places.
4. For repeating transactions that hardly got any bonus i.e. my Etolls I put it on Amex Hilton Biz to earn 5x.
5. Other spending -i.e. bills - put on Australian cards OR on cards that I am working on SUB.

Have anyone managed to have Dell US orders approved and delivered to a mail forwarder and if so which one?

Last year I've been able to have all my stuff delivered to planet express with no issues. But as of last month none of my orders have been going through.

Tried MYUS, all the different planet express addresses, address rejigging, VPN/No VPN, deleting my account and creating new ones, buying different types of products and even tried calling in. (In which case they searched up the address and said they did not deliver to mail forwarders)

None is working and all orders are getting cancelled. Getting super frustrating. Especially now that I have a few biz plat cards.

HSBC Elite 5x Travel which covers a wide range including hotels, flights, transit, parking, travel agents, taxi/rideshare and prob more I forgot. I also signed up with my aust address and never gave HSBC my ITIN so it doesn't show up on my credit report.

Amex Biz Gold 4x Shipping for paying mail forwarders to deliver stuff to Australia.

However most of my spend are to SUB now, not enough spend to go towards category bonuses.

Stacking Amex Biz gold NLL links, upgrades to biz plat and employee card offers etc. Extremely lucrative.

I probably shouldn’t have given them my ITIN!

I never paid for mail forwarders with a US card as I was too scared of being caught out!! I know this is silly and their systems aren't that smart, but just in case...
