First JASA. The lovely Maria had this booked in no time at all, seemed a bit surprised that I knew exactly which flights I wanted. Conversation started with Maria saying "hmmm, let me have a look and see if I can find you any seats ..." and I replied "No problem, try QFxx_ via SYD and QFxx_ to ADL then QFxx_ via MEL and QFxx_ to get me back" to which Maria replied after a few keystrokes, "Oh great! they all have availability - you must have chosen the right flights."

You bet!

Initially the quote was for 37,000 points but when I stated it should be 24,000 they spent a considerable amount of time and came back with the above.

Assuming you mean HBA and not Hafr Albatin, I'd say that's a Classic...

(editing my previous post)

Actually, a Classic would be $79.02 co-pay, so you may indeed have a JASA. Standard would be $148.17 + 16,000, so you've spent some extra points to save money.

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

Just a quick question regarding ASA - We know that "UBPASROW" is for a business ASA rather than "UBP" for the Classic. But I have now noticed that "UBPACE" is also appearing on some bookings. Does anyone know how the "UBPACE" fare basis differs from "UBPASR"?

Made a couple of small mistakes with this. Here's what it should read:

Month booked | Month travelled | Cabin | Route | Points cost | Co-pay* | Classic co-pay~ | Max points cost~ | SCs earned

DEC 13 | JAN 14 | J | BNE-MEL-PER-KTA-PER-SYD-BNE | 72,000 | $591.67 + $7 | $222.68 | 136,119 | 380

Oops on the code - late at night. I'm a bit confused by the 16,000 points. The Classic is 24,000 & I thought the ASA could be sold for less points than the Classic? This is a Classic quote for HBA-SYD-CBR. Tho the copmt is a little less.
