I haven't been following this thread as I'm not really interested in upgrades but was thinking of bidding to upgrade wife and daughter on Easter Monday. I've already paid $237 for that airfare and an extra 3,000 points and $105 would be worth it for the surprise. Might be too late as it's only 4 days away.MEL-SYD
Minimum Bid- 3000points +$105
My winning bid- 3000 points +115
Successful for 2 x bid now upgrades on MEL - SYD tomorrow morning.
Minimum is 3000 pts and $105. I bid 3500 pts and $110.
Unfortunately the scheduled A332 has just been subbed for a 738 though so wouldn't have bothered if I'd known that was going to happen.
Expertflyer was still showing the A330 at 6am this morning, but loads in Y were very very light.
Maybe ring them and advise that you would like to cancel as you only did it as it was an A330 that you wanted to try and now as a 737 you don't see the point.
Success on a Trans Tasman flight
Congratulations!

I've been waiting for upgrade now bid offers on my international flights but only ever offered for domestic flights. Was hoping now I'm a newly minted WP I may get an invite to bid for the QF2 flight but it appears it was not to be - would my companions (gold) status be relevant in this case ?
