Excellent thanks guys.
(Very) long time lurker (and dreamer) here on this list, but for the first time I am in a position to look seriously into SQ offerings out of Oz (nothing to do with the recent AmEx Velocity offer, I've been just accumulating points in Westpac Altitude and AmEx MR).
I am looking the furthest out, which is around mid-September next year, for Oz-NY trip for 2, and I see First Savers are all waitlist, and Business Savers as unavailable. Is this expected? If I want to use EF to set up alerts, which fare classes should I be looking for?
With other events taking the spotlight here right after I posted the above, I wonder if a re-post might trigger some nice soul to help with the enquiry?
hi Hossein_au - the SIN-FRA-JFK route is definitely up there as one of the hardest routes to snag award tickets, particularly for 2, as the yanks seem to love the route. definitely bookable upon opening but tightens up pretty quickly afterwards. would you consider west coast instead? LAX route has the A380.
can't help on the EF alerts sorry.
Thanks for the heads up. I am actually after a longish stop over in FRA, hence the east coast. I will keep looking closer to release dates. Thanks.
I have found that I often see individual legs available but not the trip as a whole (however this is mostly on PER to Europe or Japan so YMMV).
One way that can get around this is using stop overs as it seems to change the way the system sees the availability and frees up spots that were previously showing as waitlisted.
If you can see individual legs it might be worth while having a stop in SIN and FRA by paying the extra $100.00.

If you go back through Cruiser's posts in this thread all the intricacies of availability, single & multiple legs will be explained.
Is there a way to check for all of one's posts in a specific thread? Or should I go through the entire thread one page at a time (just asking, not complaining)?
Hey guys, sorry for the rookie question... When we booked our suites, we didn't put our passport numbers in the booking. Is this necessary? I can't seem to add it in anywhere on the booking management page.
Just checked the seating too, seems it's nearly a full flight with only 2F and 3F empty (Not sure if the Bassinet seats are taken). We have 3C and 3D, flying SIN-JFK on Tuesday.

Heading off tomorrow on F and R flights to the UK for the Australia Wales game.
Not sure if i'm more excited about the flights or the rugby.
My mate has a spare ticket to the game, but unfortunately I'm stuck in BNE.
Just to torture myself, I had to look. It's still possible to get MEL-SIN-LHR in R/F on SQ218/318 leaving 0105 Friday on a Saver. I've have to let it slide unfortunately.
Have a great trip. Hopefully the flights and the game will be equally good!
