Suites savers now available

But then, commercial F tickets are available effectively ruling out the A350 theory.

Called up, I was told of a variety of possibilities:

..... not yet loaded

.... someone else had snapped up [unlikely as I had tried on the dot on T-350]

.... very scarce

In other words, the CSA was unaware of anything specific.

The absence of standard F redemption is very weird.

Not necessarily. You could buy F to MUC and also standard rewards ( no saver available since they moved it to 4F) up until very recently. The announcement was made last week of new route and change to A350. The A350 rumour for MXP and BCN-GRU has been around for months.

Then seemed to go away for a while but I suspect it is back again for this route

"...... Earlier this week, the airline removed the ability to book first class travel from Milan and Barcelona on selected days as of September 2016....."

That was from the ABT article you quoted.

Explains my observation too.

Help please :)

I received SMs that waitlist cleared for flights next week. I logged on to my account via iPad app and both flights show available but I can't see how to confirm them. I then logged on via Safari (via iPad) to desktop site and it only shows first flight available and the connecting flight as waitlisted.

Re-reading sms/email, it does only say FRA-SIN flight without reference to SIN-MEL flight. As stated previously, both flights show available on app.

Any advice as to what to do here?

Thks.

Referring to above and after phoning KF per advice from Cruiser Elite, this morning at 4:33 AMS time, I received email that SIN-MEL flight had cleared. I logged on to website and clicked "confirm" button to secure FRA-xSIN-MEL booking. Computer said no, as needed to enter passport details etc. Backed up a page and SIN-MEL flight just disappeared.

Phoned KF, and agent was trying to tell me that the time limit to confirm had expired and she seemed not to believe that I'd only received the waitlist cleared notification email a few hours earlier with a confirmation time limit still remaining for both legs of ~ 30 hours+. I had to send the 'cleared waitlist' email for both legs back to her so that she could see that the time limit to confirm had not, and still has not been reached.

Cutting a long story short, the best she was able to do was reinstate the booking, but both legs are again waitlisted, with a request for clearance. She mentioned that there appeared to be a system error in this case.

Got an email about my seats being changed on the SIN-LHR leg for a flight May next year. Looks like they have changed the aircraft from A380 to 777. Obviously want to fly Suites not First. Is this something that normally happens and the aircraft will revert back over time or something I should be proactive about now?

That's a tricky one. Can you move flights to A380 aircraft? Perhaps different day/time? May is a long way away so it could change again however SQ are pretty set in there ways...

In your case I'd be looking for A380 options...

Yeah there is an earlier flight that is the A380 now and also the next morning. Both are not showing seats at the saver level so I can't make the change online. I'll call and try and get them to move us to the earlier because they have swapped aircraft on us.

Yep that's your best case. Explain to them you booked it for the A380 experience etc - I find sometimes a special occasion can put the operator on side with you. :)

Sitting in the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at FRA waiting to board SQ025 to SIN for a couple of days rest on the way home.

Checkin was a shambles, desk was a mess, staff arguing and interrupting the CSA and when I asked about TPR invitation I received a very blank look.

To top it off it was the first time in any airport where the only time the immigration officer looked up from his phone was to find a place to stamp my passport

Looks like 9 in Suites for the flight

Can't for the first Krug.

Just to follow up on the above, the waitlist was cleared on both the 'new' waitlisted flights. I believe there was active intervention from KF to clear these flights, as they acknowledged the system error and phoned me shortly after I received the SMS & email to alert me that the flights were cleared to confirm.

I was very doubtful that I was ultimately going to get these flights and kudos to KF for rectifying the error, particularly as a non status pax with only 2 ever SQ previous flights, which were the outgoing redemption flights.

Not sure if I mentioned in an earlier post, but I did the side by side champagne taste test (for data purposes, of course). Definitely the Krug for me :)

Great result robd - great result. Simple moral to the story - and I get blue in the face posting this - if you have a prob with a KF rdpt booking do not waste your time posting here - call KF - call KF - they will always be your best friend.

By all means report your responses here - whether they are positive or negative - but best to get a totally clear pic of your situation from the people who can affect your booking attempts before seeking advice here.

Hi all, after watching these threads for a long time, I decided it is finally time to contribute to them. Mrs. Mac and I are taking a Euro Trip for our 5 year anniversary, unbeknown to her I decided to use a stack of the points we have acquired over the years (through fantastic cc bonuses which I have made her sign up for with me!) and fly business. Initially we planned to fly Etihad booked through VA, but after VA changed their rewards tables AND Etihad slapped on surcharges I decided to go Singapore. After about 10 minutes of research on the Singapore product and VA points being transferable I decided that I had to try suites, so here I am!

Most of the questions I had about booking (particularly around the waitlisting process) were solved by reading here, and I waitlisted a couple of flights before finding an available one I was happy to book.

Unfortunately, when I booked (saver reward) the flights showed as available, (no waitlist) and I received a confirmation email and ticket numbers and was charged. After booking, when I went to the site to select seats, the flight shows I am waitlisted but have ticket numbers. Several calls to SQ over the two weeks since booking have been met with the response that my "query is being forwarded to the relevant department" however nothing has changed and they can't seem to tell me why this has happened. One of the staff I spoke to assured me it will be fine, but I have no desire to arrive at the airport and be told I am still waitlisted and the plane is full. I asked if they could cancel my booking and rebook it, they said there is no availability left (I assume they meant for reward seats since the website will still accept a cash booking for the flights). Has anybody had a similar experience with being charged and issued tickets but then being on a waitlist? If so any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Firstly may I also say welcome to AFF maccaisking.

So you definitely booked through SQ web site and received confirmation email including e-ticket and pmt rcpt from SQ right? And if you log into your KF Acc and go to Manage Booking you can see your booking there and showing confirmed in correct class? If YES then you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

When you called SQ which number did you call? If you didn't call KF office in SIN then I you must do so - if you dial this Sydney number 02 8228 1188 it will direct you to KF SIN - from there you will get an agent who will solve your problem. Quote your booking ref no. and e-ticket number and it should be easily resolved - if still a prob nicely insist on speaking to manager - do not get off phone until you are satisfied - this should be a simple straight forward process of indeed you did initially complete the booking.

Thanks Jessica, I will introduce myself in the welcome thread shortly.

CE, I booked through the Singapore app on my iPad, received the confirmation email and payment receipt. When I log into my KF account I see the status as waitlisted where it should say confirmed but ticket numbers still show. I tried their 13 number when calling but will try again tomorrow and be more pushy (I haven't spoken to anyone other than the person who took the call as yet) I will post results tomorrow

Ok sounds good - number 1 mistake is to never use that ridiculous ineffective app to book - sometimes will work but more times than not that is the cause of your prob and the probs KF get their end.

And never call the 13 number - never - 02 8228 1188 only.

Excited to have my Suites booked to CDG for the European summer - now just have to snag the return leg!
