I am flying into ZRH Aug 30 but out of FRA Sep 5 - logistics just don't permit ZRH dep this year - bummer - next year will be diff.

Well done LadyC - we are flying out of ZRH next July just to try the ZRH lounge.
We might be flying out of ZRH as availability is better there than other Suites ports. Which ZRH lounge are you referring to? The new Senator Lounge?

YES new Senator Lounge - the other one out where you board is a shocker - old Senator was a shocker - new Senator said to be excellent

For the 'Route de Lavande' in 2017, I +1 had managed to be in Suites to / from CDG all the way from SYD.

My first option of 'mixing' it up with CX F was thwarted by the recalcitrant CX wait listing issue.

So in the end we will 'have to' enjoy Suites in both directions.

Fingers crossed for France to remain in one piece (in peace) for all of us to enjoy what she has to offer.

Once upon a time, someone opined that 'You only live once'.

All locked in to head home from ZRH in July next year so looking forward to checking out the Senator Lounge and Suites :)

Which date LadyC? We dep ZRH on 345 09/07 - o/n ZRH 08/07.

End of July, Thursday 27th. We fly into CDG late June. Some Suites time both into Europe and back home and a nice 4 week Europe jaunt planned. Report back on the lounge for me! So I can plan out my experience :)

I booked ZRH-SYD for my return flight and the SIN-SYD route is SQ231, normally the 77wn plane I think, but it was the a380 when I booked. They've reassigned it back to the 777 but was looking forward to do suites on all my legs. Just wondering, once you've booked your flight, my flight is in few weeks, is there any way to get waitlisted with no points in the account?

I'm assuming it's a no?

I assume you want to waitlist an alternative SIN-SYD flt to your confirmed booking is that right? If YES - then absolutely YES you can add a waitlist - you will need to call KF and ask them to add it - depending on experience of agent you might just need to explain if waitlist does confirm then you will be substituting that sector.

Yes I want to waitlist an alternative flight on the same day to a confirmed booking. Will decide if the time change is worth it as well considering I've got an onward flight on VA to MEL. May give them a call today or tomorrow.
Thanks CE

So I was on the phone to SQ picking the options on the phone when I decided not to go ahead with the waitlisting as it's going to cut some time in singapore down by 4hrs (No dinner in Singapore city) and also means I'm going to have to spend an extra 4hrs in SYD for our connecting flight to Melb. Might just fly SQ231 and try out the new hard product if it's flying that route.
If anything I might change my destination from SYD to MEL as there's still award seats available for SQ227 for the day I fly home, but I'll have to discuss that with SWMBO

Wow, I hung up in the middle of picking through the options on the phone to Krisflyer, and I just received a call back from them asking if I needed help with anything.

I was just reading through the SQ Trips and tales thread and a few members have recently been in the same situation, plane sub'd from 380 to 777, and they managed to get waitlisted, whilst having a confirmed ticket, and some even managed to get through to inventory team to open up the waitlist straight away.

Just HUACA if you can't get what you want (within reason)

No that is not correct - absolutely impossible to get through to 'inventory team' - best you can do is a get a very senior agent who can shake the tree whilst you are online and access inventory that can be confirmed on the spot - or they send off a 'chaser' to award inventory team who will then act if they deem space is sufficient.

I would not advocate HUACA - what I would suggest is that you politely ask for a Manager if you consider you are not receiving accurate information - mind you it does help if you do indeed know what is accurate information - you can't just get cranky and stamp your feet just because the agent isn't able to satisfy your requests.

I probably didn't write that up correctly as I was just referring to someone else's post. I was meant to say that the agent got through to inventory team to try and open up the waitlisted seat, which did occur after said person was waiting 30mins on the phone I believe.

Mrs 29e and I are currently in TPR, having just hopped off what was virtually our own private jet from CDG. We were the only two people in Suites, so 2C and 2D were made up as a double bed, awake time was spent sampling nearly every wine on the list in 3C and 3D. Now about to board another Suites flight to MEL; given that Suites to MEL are a rarity these days this looks like it is turning into a good trip.

Funny you post that. After reading Blackcat crowing about another suite booking (can cats crow?), I (face green with envy), went onto the KF site and was surprised how easily I found SYD-SIN-CDG-SIN-SYD. First time KF booker (well tyre-kicker rather than booker) and I couldn't believe how easy the process was! (I obviously spent far too long accepting the poor VA web booking torture).

I've easily got the points required so I'm wondering how one finds cities that the A380 fly (without the prolonged search)?
