Very cruel streak noted but I feel sure you will get a solution thru grand children or great grandchildren if you are patient.

can't remember which thread i read it on, but i know someone requested SQ provide menus for some of the flights - how was this done again?

contemplating a SYD-SIN return on the A380 but would like to ensure it's a full service flight (caviar, proper meal rather than supper etc)

cheers

Well, after diligently saving up my credit card miles for what seems like an eternity, I managed to snag 2x first savers in the A380 suites for my wife and I from SIN-LHR next year. Will be our first ever experience in first class/suites. To say I'm excited would be an understatement!

I am currently raising a glass to you and your wife Arrow - fantastic news - you are in for a wonderful experience - and IMHO the 'bestest ever' way you could ever have burned those FF pts.

Pls report back with your impressions post Suites experience - we love reports here.

Excellent! Make sure you fly day flights to maximise the experience!

Two of our partners who are senior staffers returned yesterday from a Suites ride out of Los Angeles. They loved it seeing they were on Suites Saver redemptions.
I seem to be a regular on the SQ site these days.

Thanks Cruiser! The suite savers really are incredible value in my opinion, being able to get 2 on the same flight was just too good to pass up. I think I'm just as excited about the flight as I am the holiday :P Edison - We booked into SQ308 so will have plenty of time to maximise the experience : )

Arrow have you selected seats as yet? 3C and 3D will give you that 'togetherness' experience the ladies crave - if they appear to be already booked - 2C and 2D will prolly appear the same but indeed are just blocked and not reserved - if you want them call up KF call centre and they will allocate them for you - enjoy my friend.

I just managed to pick up 2 Suite Saver Fares (for my wife and I) SYD-HKG via SIN return for October next year.
Four flights on an A380 (x2) for 255,000 points seems like a good deal to me.
:)

Thanks for the tip Cruiser Elite, I just changed my window seats to 3C and 3D for all the flights, I am sure that my wife will appreciate it. :)

For couples 2C / 2D or 3C / 3D are combinations which you must have especially for first time - whilst you are seated quite far apart you can still reach across and hold hands :) - but more importantly sharing the experience together a huge plus.

Suites quite often not so full - you can share the 'double bed' of middle Suites - or crew usually more than happy to make up a window Suite for you to sleep any time. Of course diff flts / diff crews / diff pax all do things differently. But one thing for sure - ALL PAX love Suites!

Yes, managed to selected 3C and 3D already :) Thanks for the tip about 2C and 2D, it is indeed reserved/blocked like you said. But I've read 3C and 3D are some of the better ones for couples, so worked out great.

YES 3C and 3D best seats in Suites for couples - are you RHD Arrow? If YES take C - if NO take D - spousal sacrifices do have some limits!

I am a total newbie to SQ and the krisfyer program but what was the breakdown of this redemption? I have looked at this online calculator: Singapore Airline-KrisFlyer mileage calculator

That tells me SYD-HKG (via singapore) return in suite saver should be 150,000 points. So times 2 should be 300,000 points?

I have just de-linked my QF account from my David Jones AMEX platinum to diversify where my points go...

Basic question again

Does the free hotel night in SIN apply to KF redemption bookings ?

No - My understanding is that the complimentary hotel night only applies to First Class or Suites Bookings in F/P/R/ sub-classes. If I'm not mistaken, a redemption booking would be ticketed in O sub-class.

Happy to be corrected though.
